Schwinn Electric Bikes Features:
1. Longer Range All bikes are equipped with the latest inventions in battery technology. The battery is a Protanium® Lithium Polymer battery (patent pending). It is the lightest and most durable on the market. A single charge will take you approximately 40 miles.
2. Plug ‘n’ Drive The Protanium® Lithium Polymer battery (patent pending) is easily removed for recharge due to our Protanium® Plug ‘n’ Drive System. There are no wires connected to this system. You simply plug your battery directly to the bike in its fitted racks or tans. This is easy.
3. Lightweight Bike Our bikes extremely light and set a new benchmark for electric bikes, using alloy, carbon and plastic materials, with high quality components. The complete electrical drive train including motor, battery and controller is only 4.6 kilos.
4. Hybrid – Functional Our electric bicycle line is totally hybrid-functional. You can ride our bikes as conventional bikes and you can ride them as electric bikes. Our Protanium® drivetrain ensures a pleasant ride either way.
5. Fast Charge The battery charges fully in less than four hours and provides 100% power to the motor until the point when the battery is fully depleted.
6. Easy Wheel Change The Protanium® wheel change system enables you to disconnect your wheel with the hub motor without having any troubles with cumbersome wires that usually run from the battery to the motor on electric bikes. Removing and installing your wheels is a breeze.
Pacfic inform us that a distribution agreement is in place with a UK distributor, but no news as to price/availability yet.

the schwinn looks very good, but schwinn also advertise a chainless model on their web sitewhich really looks "the business"!
