Purchased From:
eBay
Purchase Price:
£300
Time Owned:
 3 Months
Local Terrain:

Moderate Hills
Strengths:
Supplied complete incl lights & mudguards, pedelec & throttle, although battery is SLA, charges in under 4 hours, provides at least 35 miles per charge when pedalled, extremely effective disc brakes front & back, excellent adjustable suspension on front forks and frame, no problems on hill climbing, good touring speed. Comfortable. Quiet.

Weaknesses:
Very heavy at 80 lbs, build quality is quite cheap, original chainset is 38t - this limits achievable speed, huge tyres with knobs on also slow bike down, rear mudguard is badly designed and allows rear wheel to spray up the back of the battery, brake mech fixing bolts badly aligned on frame and required adjustment.

Summary:
You get what you pay for... this bike is the probably the cheapest it is possible to buy, but, it really is complete, just needs a lock, it rides well, has excellent range, it is very comfortable, has considerable power and is a bargain for the price. A good starter machine.
