Hi StrangeFish, and thanks for your welcome a whole 120 posts and 6 weeks ago (oops, sorry!). I've been too busy for my own good - and been on holiday in France which was nice, ... so not had a chance to "try out" anything - or to check the forum for a while. But despite my plan to try something and then work out exactly what and when to buy, I saw a Sakura S305 "shopper" e-bike for sale locally, as brand new, for a really good price, so went and got it anyway! Hope I get on well with it then! Just had a quick go round the block this evening when I got it home. It is a bit strange getting on a bike again after so many years, especially one with smaller wheels and what feels like a shorter wheelbase, and with a slightly top heavy battery, and a rather heavy frame... But despite some early wobbles (and swerving to the right when setting off!), I am optimistic. Several short trips round the block in order this week before I start meeting a bit more traffic. I'll keep you posted (although may be another couple of weeks!). It was encouraging to see your thoughts about getting onto your new Agattu, StrangeFish - I trust you're enjoying riding to and from work regularly now?
