Question Newbies

First I should introduce myself- I am Keith and apart from one or two exceptions I havent ridden a bike for years
: Well I have read much about these newfangled machines now and I am still undecided.I would like two bikes , one for me and one for the better half who hasn't been on a bike for about 30 years. I had a go on a friends bike in Holland last year having not ridden for years, ouch sore undercarriage, I was most imressed by the encased gearing.
We have a campervan and travel to diifferent parts of the country (mainly yorkshire, the peak district and cornwall) but live in Suffolk, although not particularly mountainous we do have a fairly steep hills out of the village in all directions bar one. We are both in our mid 50's, unfit and each about 95 kg ( yes I know, fatties).
Initially I liked the look of the windsor LPX; nice looks and about the right price and an ideal weight. However, it looks like it wont cope with anything but the gentlest of slopes. we both ideally would favour step-throughs with an upright riding posture.
Then I looked at powerbike's shopper a good price but very heavy and I think an ugly little bike but it could suit our needs. Maybe its a lot lighter to lift in and out of the camper if the battery is removed.
Another consideration has been folders but I understand these are more difficult to ride as an ordinary bike due to the smaller wheels and gear ratios.
I was very imressed by the spec on the Ezee Sprint but they seem to be as rare as hair on an egg.and according to 50cycles uk have been superceeded by the Kalkhoff Aggatu (and then I fell in love!) but its rather a lot of money considering our inexperience.
Any guidance will be much appreciated.
