Default Ping Battery Charger

Hi all, I have just purchased a 36v 20 A ping battery and the charger doesn't work?(no voltage coming out) I was wondering if any body could suggest a place where I could buy a reasonably priced alternative for this lifepo4 battery pack without damaging the battery.

Have you checked the fuse in the plug and there is probablly a fuse in the charger as well.

If the lights are on, it would appear power is there, so fuse ok.
Is this the first charge?
My Ping battery arrived almost fully charged. I followed the instructions because it said the battery would need charging. I left it plugged in and turned on for 14 hours (just sat their doing nothing - red and green lights on ??).

Have you double-checked the wiring (just in case)?

Here's a link to a thread I did about replacing my SLA with a Ping battery (may be helpfully to you).
Dilemma with replacing my SLA batteries

If all else fails - have you considered emailing Ping to see if he can help identify the problem?

I have double checked the wiring, however I noticed that you had instructions with your battery, I did not - so I just connected the charger into a usa to uk adaptor wasn't sure which way round it went in as it fitted both ways. Then cut the terminal end off and connected the volt meter to the spare wires. Can you email me the instructions please.

I have upload an image (I believe) was the one Ian posted.

PS: Note for Ian - I hope you don’t mind me posting the image for “chrisrenwick”. If you are unhappy about it, just let me know and I will delete it.

Is there a correct way to plug the charger into the mains- I have a usa to english adaptor and the plug seemed to go either way round. I wonder now if i could have damaged the charger plugging into the mains by getting the polarity wrong
