Attention battery makers

One of our Presidential candidates is planning on offering a prize for new battery technology.

300 million (don't know what that is in conversion)

McCain said such a device should deliver power at 30 percent of current costs and have "the size, capacity, cost and power to leapfrog the commercially available plug-in hybrids or electric cars."

Not sure what his chances are of becoming President here though.
