Had contact today between our Kawasaki and a car. We were overtaking when the car pulled out and we ended up flat against the side of the car, unable to steer away at about 60 mph

Unfortunately the wife’s leg got injured (squashed between the car and bike). Spent six hours at A&E, not broken but badly bruised.

Amazingly no damage to the bike

Sorry to hear about that footie, sounds like it could have been much worse though.

I hope you wife gets better quickly.

Not nice Footie, my sympathies.

Once had exactly the same happen to me south of Godstone on a Honda at the same speed when a BMW pulled out suddenly. His car took the impact on my footrest end and handlebar end but I was able to bank away slightly, so no injuries or damage to me. I pulled just ahead of him and carried on at 60 mph when he suddenly pulled past me at over 70, still accelerating.

I then had the satisfaction of seeing a police car on his tail.
