I have asked iRuss if there could be a permanent link on the forum to the map.

John
Done!

I too would like to see a permanent link, and perhaps a mention at the start the "introduce yourself" thread.

Hi Keith,

Done - right in the centre of Hull. You can move it to be more accurate when and if you would like to do so.

Cheers,

I must have missed something.
I have gone to Google Maps after signing into the forum.
But I can't see how I can I add myself to the map.
This may be a stupid question but - do I have to sign in to Google Maps (setup a membership)? Or what?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Footie, yes you do have to set up an account with google to use google maps. It takes 2 minutes and is free https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=local&hl=en&nui=1&continue=ht tp://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms%3Fhl%3Den%26ie%3DUTF8%26msa%3D0%26msid%3D112848 654949699722894.00044656d946a81c77b22%26ll%3D54.03 3586,-3.55957%26spn%3D13.240332,40.869141%26z%3D5%26mid% 3D1203256652
