I have had two before this one so am reasonably experienced and can say that both the others would be cutting out by now (on long hills anyway). The last battery I had was truly awful and I strongly suspect the cells are very much better on the latest batteries. Only time will tell I am afraid but I am doing my best to put on as many miles as possible on this battery.

I am still waiting for the promised replacement for the original duff battery but no joy from 50 cycles or Ezee so far.
I thing you will need to email Wai Won again on this Hal. He is aware that a few have picked up a battery or had one within the six month warranty, but probably won't know who of those waiting hasn't got one yet. He told me that regardless of those sent to 50cycles he will honour his promise to them.

Yes I did email him last weekend but I know he was away for some of that time - I'll give him until after the easter break before pestering him again.

He might also be waiting to send the latest type which are barely through yet Hal, as he's been trying one out and found it performed well on his 1000 km ride which included a climb up to a plateau area.

Now that is very exciting - the new ones are certainly an improvement but it would be great to get the latest version that you have been raving about.

Even better would be the future prototype if it lasts well, since that is really something else.

Sadly that will have to wait awhile. After the experiences with the early battery, no-one is going to take any risks without stringent testing.
