There's a problem Django, all the links now go to the dealer map, no access to the members map any more?

All seems OK to me. Try signing out then back in again if it persists. Anyone else have a problem?

Right, I've twigged, both maps are together on the same link, select which one when in there. I was expecting a different link entirely.

Only if you are signed in to Google, otherwise it is a different link!

Signed out again and for some inexplicable reason it's worked ok now.

I've re-entered the links that were in before plus Nick's nomination to see how it looks.

Map link

Yes, it doesn't always behave as one would expect!

Default Dealers

Hi John

I agree with you to a point.

I think it's good for dealers to have a second map as it makes finding a dealer so much easier, and as an advertiser and supporter of pedelec I don't have a problem with other non paying dealers being put on the map. I have always believed that the more competition there is in the industry the better the bikes will become.

All the Wisper Partners and dealers I know are also very keen electric bike users in their own right and have an amazing ammount of knowledge - especially Anthony in New Zealand who hardly ever uses his car, using his Wisper 905se whenever possible, even when taking his baby out for a picnic!

Where Do You Live V2.0

Anthony should certainly be put on the main map.

In my oppinion the ideal solution would be a single map with commercial premises shown with a different symbol. If other advertisers don't agree then how about a charge for commercial users to be put on the map. I would have no problem with paying an additional fee.

Best regards David

Anthony could go into the members under his own name or online name as an e-biker David, but once any dealer goes into the members map, it's open house for all regardless of whether they are enthusiasts or not.

John wasn't alone in his view, since I originally suggested a dealers map in response to a member request for a dealer directory and was firmly in favour of it being separate.

Django has pointed out that these maps which he has entered on his account have to remain free, so there's no charging option. I would think a charged for map might bring implications of having to pay Google for the use of the facility.

Default Maps

Hi Flecc

I am sure that you have all discussed this at length and of course I am happy with whatever decission you have all made, I simply thought I'd put my two penneth in!

I will tell Anthony if he wants to see himself on the main map to submit his personal details.

In the mean time, if you have time, please would you add Wisper to the dealer map?
