Hi,
Well I guess I stumbled across your site when I was googling what e bike to buy! I live in South Yorkshire which obviously isn't as hilly as North Yorkshire, but we have a few! Anyway, I haven't purchased a bike yet, I've been looking at the Ezee Liv and Windsor LPX LiPol, but I honestly don't know which one is the better bike; they both have pros and cons. Any help would be appreciated.:

Hello KidBriar, welcome to the forum and we look forward to you joining the rest of us using one of the best ways of getting around yet invented.
I've just added an answer on your query thread, but you're wise to get test rides, there's no substitute for personal experience.

Hello
Hi Everyone
I've been into cycling for many years, two years ago I bought my partner Jayne a really nice bike so that she could come with me when I go out for a ride. Unfortunately she had great difficulty keeping up, and even more trouble when she got to a hill. I decided that I should buy her an e-bike because she wasn't enjoying herself. The bike I bought her was a Synergie Mistral, she loves it, for the price it's a fantastic machine. The trouble is I couldn't keep up with her now going up hill, and was left behind, sweating and straining trying to catch up. I decided it was time for me to get an e-bike too, I did however, not want to get rid of my current bike, which is a Giant rock se, and I like it very much. I have been looking into my options for converting it to an e-bike, I have now converted it and I love it. I did the conversion in an unusual way however, on Ebay I saw a machine called an Upland 26, this machine is a cheap chinese import. It has a front hub motor which I found out was a Tongxin(Nano motor), the battery a 36v 9ah Ni-MH located in the rear wheel hub, the controller located on a rear luggage carrier, and a twist grip throttle. I reckoned that I could transplant all this onto my Giant, which I did with ease, the Upland 26 cost me £299 plus £20 p&p, that's cheap! The best thing is that it not only goes really well, but it's the neatest conversion I've seen. The battery isn't as good as the lithium ion in the Synergie, but it's not bad either. Why not visit our website GRIZZLYFISH it is mostly about our motorhome, but has cycling related stories too.

Hello Grizzly Bear, welcome to the forum. Thanks for the Tongxin/Nano information, there's been a lot of interest in this motor in it's kit form, so the more owner experiences we get, the better. Please keep us informed on how well you get on with it over time.
I'm off to have a look through your site now, thanks for the link.

Hello
Hi Everyone,
Last week I bought an Aprilia Enjoy. Ever since it was launched I wanted to have one, but they were far too expensive! I bought a non-runner which I could afford. I know it is not famous for its reliability, but so far I found out that all the switches, motor and battery are not the problem. I hope there is anyone out here with some knowledge of the bike I would love to enjoy next spring!

Hello The Sei, welcome to the forum. I have no personal experience of the Aprilia Enjoy, and don't know of anyone in the forum who has. I do know that it's been widely regarded as very poor, and even that's being kind apparently. A to B magazine expressed it in their words as "A complete disaster area", not very promising.
However, I hope you are able to get it going with some degree of reliability, and if so, you'll be the Forum expert on that bike. Fingers crossed for you.

Electric Novice seeks advice
Hi everyone
I am looking for an electric bike that will haul me up an over these cotswold hills to my new job and back again.
I am very in need of advice - what to buy, and where to get one.
Most of all I want to hear what you experienced electric riders think about the options I am considering.
Your friendly advise is very welcome.
