    Ultra Motor A2B???

No thanks. The sums are like this. I've got about 4 years until I want to retire (if those sums add up) and I spend about £500 a year on Diesel getting to and from work. So spending £2500 doesn't save me anything. I think only if it's got an 800cc triple.

    Ultra Motor A2B???

Maybe but I was trying to avoid another road tax, insurance, fuel and servicing costs. I might as well stick to the car which I've got to keep anyway.

    Ultra Motor A2B???

Well, I went off to have a test ride today and I'm sorry to say that I'm completely underwhelmed by them all. Haven't got the zip I expected. I suppose I was expecting too much from 1/3hp. I tried several different bikes including A2B, Wisper, Go-Ped and a knackered old cheaper one that was...

I suppose it qualifies as an ebike

I seem to remember it was widely slated at the time of its launch for having tiny wheels and dangerous geometry.

    Ultra Motor A2B???

It's not necessarily an anti-European bias. I've just grown increasingly cynical over the years that the Euromeddlers can't keep their noses out of our business. And if there's an opportunity for another tax then they'll take it with all their noses in the trough sucking it up in ever increasing...

    Ultra Motor A2B???

That's great if it comes to pass but we all know what meddlers the EU commissioners are.......if they see the "citizens" getting about too quickly without paying any tax then they'll limit something or introduce a Wattage tax. Lord help us!

Please help me choose an ebike?

I believe that this is the method used by Triumph on various models such as their Tiger800. I own a Tiger955i and a Tiger800XC. No need for restriction though as I passed my test 37 years ago.

    Ultra Motor A2B???

OK so are you're saying they're limited to a speed rather than power output? And what's what with the A2B and the Tonaro Big Hit? How does one find out?

    Ultra Motor A2B???

Thanks but I'm not sure how you equate the A2B as the more powerful as they both have a 36V 250W motor.

    Ultra Motor A2B???

Thanks for the response. I've had contact with a Fernando Kuefer at Hero by e-mail. It was him that offered to trade at the Amazon price. I hope he's actually part of your organisation and that I haven't dropped him "in it"!

    Back to bikes.

Yes I'll get myself out to Bodium some time soon. I ruled out anything with a front drive because we have pretty steep hills in Hastings and the front goes light. My question thread is http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/electric-bicycles/11562-ultra-motor-a2b.html

    Ultra Motor A2B???

I recently tried to order an Ultra Motor "A2B Hybrid 26" Ultra Motor from Amazon Ultra Motor A2B Hybrid 26 Electric Bike - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Leisure . However it never showed up so I cancelled the order. Now I've made contact with someone at Hero bikes who have just taken over...

    Back to bikes.

Hi everyone, I thought my cycling days were over having an arthritic knee but with the increase in availability of pedelecs I'm just about to buy one. Which one is open to debate so I'll be asking questions elsewhere on the forum. Cheers and see you out there. H
