    Bike upgrade advice needed!

Hello, it's been 6 years since I came on here and bought (following recommendations) my first e-bike - A Kudos Stealth. It has served me well, but is starting to look a bit tired, so I am in the market for an upgrade. One thing I did not like about the Stealth is that it does not handle bumps...

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

OK! I'm struggling here!!! Can someone recommend me a chainring (either 42t/44t, 130 BCD, for 1/2" X 3/32" chain, 8 speed compatible)? I can't seem to find anything!

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

If I buy a new (1/8) chain to fit this chainring, will it be OK on my rear cassette?

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

The chain is looking pretty rusty... although I've only had it 5 months. The new chainring I have bought is a system EX 42T which apparently fits "any 130 PCD crank". But the spec also say "for 1/2 x 1/8 Chains"... is this where I've gone wrong?!?!

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

Have swapped to a 42t chainring and the bike ain't happy. I haven't removed any links yet but I'm wondering if there are other issues. The chain isn't sitting properly on the chainring - it's as if the width between teeth is different - or is this just because there is now slack in the chain...

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

I've ordered a 42t replacement chainring. Would I need to change anything else e.g. chainlength, derailleur?

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

Helpful replies, cheers. What if I just reduce the size (less teeth) of the chainring? I quite like high cadence - keeps the legs in good shape for a weekend ride on my (non-E) road bike!

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

After counting and getting my hands dirty I think its 13-34... All I got from the specs online is Shimano Acera 8-speed derailleur, 46 tooth chainring. What if I change to a lower tooth chainring?

Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

Hello, I have a Kudos Stealth and have been fairly impressed with it so far. However, I have some very steep hils on my commute and I find that even in my lowest gear that my cadence is really low which puts a bit of strain on the knees! I was thinking that I could change the cassette so that...

Raleigh Array E-Motion Crossbar 700c 2018 Electric Hybrid Bike

Thanks! This could be very useful. Althought I've looked through the bike shops on cyclesolutions and I'm struggling to find one which stocks Kudos bikes!

Raleigh Array E-Motion Crossbar 700c 2018 Electric Hybrid Bike

I'm still undecided!!! Does the Eigar have a throttle and pedal assist? Can the motor power the wheel without pedalling? (I think that's the same question!). Also, it this the case for the Array and the Stealth. I see pros and cons in all of them! The pro of the array being it's cost due to the...

Raleigh Array E-Motion Crossbar 700c 2018 Electric Hybrid Bike

This is helpful, thanks. I like the look of the Kudos bikes, and I'd be looking for something that is suitable for winter weather so perhaps the Eiger is recommended? Does the battery come off? I think, when it's parked up and locked, I'd take the battery with me to the office. Also, is it...

Raleigh Array E-Motion Crossbar 700c 2018 Electric Hybrid Bike

I also have the option on the cycle to work scheme of the Stow-e-way. This is rear motor driven. However, I'm a bit sceptical of a folding bike to use on hills and of course its suitability to someone tall. Ant thoughts?
