I run a bed-and-breakfast in the foothills of the Pyrenees. It's a great biking playground, and the B+B gives me time in the middle of the day for getting out there.

Currently road cycling, Giant Defy Composite, I normally head for the local hills and cols.

A recent back injury has curbed the activity, and for the past four months, the bike has become my primary means of therapy and keeping fit. I can't climb any more, I can't walk more than 1km, but I can bike along the flat. Pretty much regardless of weather, I'm out there most days, 20 to 30km, trying to hold it all together.

I'm on this site because I'm thinking about electric mountain bikes, for both me and my husband, who isn't interested in road work, nor being quite as fit (read 'obssessed') on a bike as I am. We hope to be able to enjoy getting high into the hills without killing ourselves in the process, maybe take a picnic along with us...
