Hi Jules, we managed to sell the bike for £450 on Gumtree to a very nice person who I know has a bargain. In the mean time we have bought 2 new electric pedelec bikes Raleigh Captus from a local dealer to us and which have a Braun motor. We are on holiday in France and have been cycling about 15 miles a day and are really delighted with the bikes, it's been a joy to ride them. We do miss the Cannondale with Citronex but the adaptability of the new ones has won us over.
What both contributors above have written is very good, particularly oldtom. I bought the bike primarily for my wife who likes cycling but hates hills and strong headwinds, so that we could enjoy cycling together. We also wanted to pedal most of the time for the exercise and use the assistance on hills and headwinds. the cycle is also light enough to be loaded at chest height on our camper van. As Tom says we didn't want to do more than 15-20 miles per trip so it was perfect for us and I've only run out of power on one occasion.
