    E tricycles

Thank you all, some useful points. I am cautious because I’m not convinced that the power options being offered on most would cope with any serious hills. And there’s the stability issue - I looked at the Alpine Tilt Trike but that seems a bit expensive at around £2700 with a 16.5ah battery...

    E tricycles

Anyone have any experience of these? I’m thinking of getting one for my wife (78 year old unstable cyclist) so she can accompany me on my new (Ezee) Sprint which has hub gears, 36v 20ah battery, half throttle and cadence sensor. Is there anything out there in the way of a tricycle ?

    New old member advice please

Benjahmin, I've come round to that way of thinking and am presently inclined to get another Ezee Sprint since I've found a new supplier - not cheap but only a bit more than a kit. I know this make is a reliable/proven, powerful and adaptable. Thanks so much for yours and all the other member's...

Hi Tim that sounds just right for me. Does a throttle still work with the Wayfarer M7 mid drive step through Regards Mike

    New old member advice please

Thanks for that. It seems that most Ive looked at offer a thumb throttle which looks harder to operate as you say. Do these opearate progressively? And how do they work with different power settings that some bikes have? Regards Mike

    New old member advice please

Hi Benjahmin, Thanks for your informed thoughts which I very much appreciate. It's difficult to get non-partisan advice about the different systems which is why I've come back to Pedelecs which I've found so good in the past. So this means you are bringing me back to a hub motor with cadence...

    New old member advice please

Thank you so much. That leads me on a bit. because I would want to fit a twist throttle i I go with another hub drive. But just one thought; when I looked at the ampere they offered a thumb throttle which I'm not so sure about - twist not being an option. Any thoughts on these because I not...

    New old member advice please

Hi, I've been a member since 2007 but not been active for a while. Since then I've sold my Ezee Sprint (my second one) in 2019 and aged? Now 77 I've also moved to a new area and find I need another ebike because I've missed having one so much. So I would appreciate some advice about what to...

Thanks Lynda, that is the one I am considering.

    New battery or new bike

Thanks for all the posts. My deliberations are now between a new Ezee Eco Sprint probably with a 14 ah Lithium battery £900 or a new Powabyke Shopper £600 (still in stock in a local shop) with what I think I really want which is a 37v 14 ah Lead Acid battery. Forgive the regression but it...

    New battery or new bike

Thanks Bob I am interested in teh 10 ah battery you suggest, it could be just what I need. I have looked at the base plate and slider on my Ezee Liv; would that mean a new key switch with the slider and new charger for a different battery? And would the new base plate require any special...

    New battery or new bike

Hi guys, I've not been on this site for a good while but now I need to tap your collective brains again. I have an Ezee Liv bought in 2007. The first battery lasted just over a year and I got another slightly discounted. My second battery is now close to its end. What do I do? Buy a new bike...

Long Term Test Outcome - eZee battery

It may depend on how many charges Mike. If your mileage means you charge every weekday when commuting, allowing for holidays etc you would probably do about 440 charges in two years. That Phylion battery that I've been testing isn't the current eZee one which is a polymer one from a different...

Long Term Test Outcome - eZee battery

Ezee and (Phylion) Battery Thanks for that flecc, just slightly more reassuring. Like you I am in a hilly area and much of my regular return journey is predominately uphill. My paranoia is that I've been here before re signs of battery deterioration so I still think I need another battery...

    Prop stands

Prop stand Bit late in finding this thread but my solution might be useful to someone else. I replaced the double foot stand on my eZee Liv with a Raleigh Twin Leg Propstand which cost about £19 and fitted perfectly. Regards Mike
