Yes my Yamaha consistently says 105 miles in ECO PLUS on a fully charged battery whereas my new Bosch CX 500 gives 61 miles in ECO. But the Bosch has a memory in the motor which takes into account the last ride, which I presume the Yamaha doesn't.

Ah OK thanks, so the initial range is incorrect. Opposite to Yamaha which started high and slowly decreased.

Just a quick question. Put on a fully charged battery and the display says 61 miles range in ECO. Thought this was a bit low compared to my old Haibike which used to show 105 miles in ECO. I realise this is in ideal conditions only but the Bosch website gives 135 miles(218 KM) in ECO in ideal...

The only thing that's stopping me is that I'm a bit loathe to opening up a brand new bike. When I had a Yamaha Haibike I managed to strip a thread on one of the engine mounting bolts whilst installing a dongle.

Not had a Bosch before, is it fairly straight forward ?

Just bought a Trek Powerfly FS 9. Great bike to ride and looks fab too. Regarding insurance. Our Lloyds home insurance wouldn't cover eBikes so I cancelled it and changed to Santander who insure it at home and away. They don't cover liability which is fair enough. Only £5 extra a month...

I've have a Black Ped dongle on my Haibike for a couple of years and wouldn't be with out it. (for off road only use of course !) Easy to fit and works from my iPhone . Works from the light switch.

Yeah, I only got 10% off mine. I wanted the interest free credit too but then you loose the discount so I'm gonna put it on a new credit card with zero percent on new purchases for two years. :):)
