    what type of multimeter?

Hi, to test what I think is a 24V Li-Ion - 9Ah battery on a wisper se (which no longer goes, but the battery appears to charge and the light goes on) Thanks in advance!

    wisper 806fe knackered

You think so? I don't have a meter unfortunately (although I could try and borrow one). The meter on the bike has always slumped dramatically when the bike calls for power, but it usually carries on going for a fair bit nonetheless. I'll follow your suggestion though thanks

    wisper 806fe knackered

Hi, I left this bike in a shed "for a while" (ok years, not months) and now the power assistance isn't working. The battery seems ok. I notice the cables in and out of the vaguely triangular box at the front (which I take to be the controller?) are rather perished so I'm guessing that might be...

Hi folks Just bought an 806FE of ebay - £650 - not bad I thought.. I bought a Dahon folding bike 12"-16" carrier bag for it, but the 806 won't fit inside it. Any suggestions?

Sure thing Mark, once again thanks for letting me trial it for so long. just email me when you want it back and I'll wipe it down and pack it up again. I kept every last piece of cardboard and bubble wrap it came with so hopefully you won't have to do much with it to send it out again.. One...

'Stylish' hill-climbing electric folder for around a 1000??

Me too, Indalo, when I saw lycra boy going up my hill, I thought yes.. NRG, thanks for that explanation of the voltage question. I'm assuming that the 24 volt batteries powering 250 watt motors will have appropriate wiring and whatnot... to my non-technical mind having slightly thicker wires...

'Stylish' hill-climbing electric folder for around a 1000??

Took it about 13 miles yesterday, mostly flat but ending with the 1.25 miles, 12% gradient rise. Remaining battery power when I got home: 35%. At the moment there only seems to be two modes - full throtle of nothing at all. Previously, the power has kicked in when you pedal, particularly when...
