    That's what I thought, but if you don't ask you can do more damage. I saw that Flash has had powabykes in the past so I sent a post to him and he has also serviced them. I hope I sent the post correctly. Thank you I appreciate your quick reply. with kind regards.

    I thought my Powabike was Mk 1 the side covers just lift off the motor. I wondered why I was not getting any replies,and it was posted in the wrong forum..I found that the wires coming from the wheel had been almost cut and badly frayed. I want to replace them but I don't want to damage...

    I searched on You Tube for a video of someone opening up a Mk1 Powabyke front wheel motor to no avail.I then looked on the some of the foums and yours looked the best. I picked up this bike in a sorry state but the tyres had hardly any wear.I eventually found that the wires coming from the wheel...
