It's a shame your not suited to the Bear as its a cracking bike. When I first got mine I found similar as you, but I just knock it down an assist level or two to get a smoother pick up on power to the speed I'm cycling. But the extra power is great for me, I love being able to get up any hill...

Nice weight loss, I'v not been using a diet as such but cut out bad stuff. My job stops me getting out as much as I might, but do take advantage when I can. My Big Bear is to enjoy the trip not to exercise, I have my Raleigh Royal for that, which I'v converted back to normal from electric.

First ride out for a while with a new job and a new home, but what a nice trip out it was too. Exploring places we've never seen before around the cleasby and Barton area, and making a note to explore another time. It still amazes me how good this Big bear is and how much more I'm enjoying going...

It had crossed my mind that the full range must be used by some, but the worry of causing some sort of damage by over use has always been on my mind. I guess I should just use it as much as I want and not worry about it.

Thanks for that, it's more than likely going to be a one off just out of curiosity. It would be interesting to see how far we can actually get without purposely saving the battery.

If the front was hooked up too I don't think there's a hill that could stop it. Get some knobblies on in a low gear and it's the bikes version of a jeep :-)
