Greetings,

My name is Jason, I'm the owner of WheelGo, holding the exclusive distribution rights for the Chinese IPS branded (all of these products are made in China) electric unicycle products here in the UK & several other European countries. Next week, we will be receiving our first consignment of the Gen III product which have an impressive combination of range & power; we believe these will finally transcend the novelty market, making them a serious contender for the commuting, sightseeing, or just about any application within the 1-18 miles distance range.

Over the next several weeks, we will be organising events for members of the public to try them--one downside, is it requires some time (between 2-30 minute) to pickup the techniques to learn how to use the device.

The World's Most Powerful Electric Unicycle Arriving in Europe Next Week!

We are very pleased to announce WheelGo will be the launch customer of next generation IPS111 (v3) product. Apart from the appearance, nearly every component of the device, including the battery-pack, motor, & electronic control board have been substantially upgraded, to provide the best ride experience of any product available today.

Some of the most significant improvements include:

· Motor Power: the device is now packaged with an electricmotor with an output of 1,300watts! Upgraded from 950watts in the earlier version. This power allows a rider accelerate more quickly, maintain a higher top speed (tested to 18kph), climb gradients as high as 30º, easily carry a rider as heavy as 120kg.

· Battery Pack: the new battery pack contains the best quality Sony 18650 high drain cells, with a much greater life-span, charge/discharge characteristics, & operating temperature tolerances.

· Vastly Reduced Charging Times: instead of taking 3-4hrs to charge a depleted battery, the new charger's 134.4 watts of output allows it to be topped-up within 1.5-2hrs.

· Control-Board: riders of other brands & the earlier product will immediately appreciate the smoothness of the acceleration/deceleration, turn handling, & how it seems to respond effortless to control input.

· Initialisation Time: no longer does the rider need to wait 2 seconds for the gyroscopic action to engage. Within .2 of a second of pressing the power button, the rider can safely mount the device.

· Reduced Weight: Unit weight has been reduced from slightly over 13kg to just under 12kg.

With the combination of unprecedented power, range, & precision in control offered with this release, we believe the capabilities of this transportation platform can now finally be realised, unleashing a whole new range of applications & purposes. They're a really great product and I hope you do well with them, but you really shouldn't have omitted the legal bit.

Please tell me I'm wrong. You can't use them on the road because they don't have pedals. You can't use them on footpaths or anywhere with public access because they're a motorised vehicle. If the police catch you, you get a Section 59 notice.

Ah yes, the legal element... Of course we state, 'check with your local authorities before use...'. We're seeking to work out a modus operandi with the authorities, because unlike the notorious Segway, the product is considerable more nimble & maneuverable (25cm wide vs. 84cm ), when used properly, does not interfere with pedestrian traffic, can maintain stability at speeds as slow to 1kph, & has an incredible emergency stopping distance.

We will be incorporating a 'city-mode' which limits the top speed through a slider switch to 8kph & introducing a situational training-awareness program to demonstrate to the authorities that we are very serious about rider safety.

That's a somewhat odd speed limit, the authorities tend to favour limits that accord with existing legislation and that at 5 mph doesn't match any.

The ones in that area that have some degree of relevance are:

Mobility chair when in pavement use = 4 mph.

Mobility chair when in use on road = 8 mph.

Pedestrian Controlled Vehicle = 4mph.
