    Replacement battery for Kalkhoff 2012

All of my batteries, originals and a couple of replacement ones have only the one notch. If you look in the area the battery goes, there is nothing requiring any slots in that area. I’ve fed you model into their site, and it comes up with the same compatible batteries. The lower capacity and...

    Evans Cycles for ebike service

Sounds like a pedal bearing, I usually swap Pedals from another bike to check and most of the time that’s where the noise is coming from. i’m like Nealh, do most of my own servicing, except when I buckled a wheel. Mike

Kalkhoff Pro Connect 2009 - 11 years on

Is the original charger supplier for the 10Ahr Panasonic batteries still OK to charge these higher capacity Vinteky 20.8Ahr batteries or is a different charger required?

    Lockdown

BazP said: As I said, we will have to agree to disagree. I’m sorry if I made the assumption that you seem to know more than all of the UK authorities on how to combat a new world threat. Flecc replied..... I only know more about how to protect myself and the others around me where I am, by...

    Lockdown

Agree with all of what you‘ve said flecc, would only comment that the ‘State’ seems determined to legislate or make rules to allow for the lowest common denominators in society, many of which are not capable of looking after their own safety, nor considering the safety of those around them. That...

Agree...think a more considered observation might be.... Source.......A “delicacy” of an entire nation that mutated to vanquish it's predator. Well if certain “cultures” are going to carry on eating bats, snakes, and monkeys, it’s no wonder that the whole world has been contaminated with...

Putting e-bike to bed for the duration of C-virus.

The roads my wife and I love best to cycle along are the single track C roads, best with a 'ridge' of dirt etc. down the centre. It is no trouble to pull over and let cars pass, and generally results in friendly acknowledgement. We are out to enjoy the air, scenery etc. not some sort of...

Putting e-bike to bed for the duration of C-virus.

Just like cycling in the 1960s, except that cars are zippier today than those ’classics’ of yesteryear. However, some drivers who see these deserted roads, think speeding is somehow acceptable. There also seems to be a higher percentage of boy racers arounds. One potential benefit of everyone...

    Panasonic batteries for old newbie

Bought one of the ’Geman’ batteries last May (2019) from a similar supplier based in Portsmouth and they get them in from Germany (think they may have more than one ebay name - batteries and exactly the same, price the same, picture the same). Works fine, and the 20.8Ah capacity is great...

Putting e-bike to bed for the duration of C-virus.

Sorry if this has been said already in this thread. Been out exercise cycling on three days this week and would make the following observations.... 1. Certainly around Bournemouth it considerably safer to cycle on roads since Monday, much less traffic and more cyclists around. Not unlike the...

    What's happening at 50 Cycles?

50cycles posts seem to be coming "like wraiths by the water, or like thistledown on the breeze blown". They appear, then, when challenged, disappear into thin air. PS “wraith” - a ghost or ghostlike image of something, especially one seen shortly before or after their demise.

    What's happening at 50 Cycles?

EDIT - WOW, WHEN YOU COME BACK AT THEM, THEN THE ORIGINAL POST BY THEM DISAPPEARS, PRESUMABLY BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIKE THE RESPONSE AND THAT THEY WERE WRONG. INDEED, THEY ONLY USED IT TO PROMOTE THE 50k miles we've achieved out of Panasonic Kalkhoffs, two bought from them. That was at a time when...

    What's happening at 50 Cycles?

ME!!! 50cycles in their hey day, prior to the ‘Impulse‘ motor fiasco, were helpful and a useful source of spares and advice. We bought two bikes in July 2008 from them and joined this forum within days of those purchases. (no jonnie-come-lately then!). The Panasonic motor-ed bikes they sold...

    What's happening at 50 Cycles?

I think you will be lucky if they will provide what you hope for. Even before going into bust they had severely run down spares like sprockets etc. If you get into trouble sourcing spares try pro-golla cycling in Germany. Good stock of spares for Panasonic and impulse motor Kalkhoff bikes. Had...
