For this bike, I don't know yet. I'm running stock Specialized Purgatory 27.5x3.0. I feel these are not best for snow. Knobs could be bigger and have more space between them as treads filled with snow quite easily as you can see from pics. I'm tempted to try the Maxxis High Roller II at least in...

Perfect winter riding conditions on Sunday. No wind, -5C, very little ice. Bike worked well again. In cold weather suspension stiffens up, but not completely. SRAM Guide R brakes surprised me. Unlike Shimano brakes I have on other bikes these were not affected by cold at all. I guess it's...

Pedelecs that you like, but perhaps shouldn't.

I've always had a soft spot for Felt Bruhaul. I'd love to get one for commuting and riding around town and of course for hauling brew.

    Brooks saddles

I fall in the middle. I had a B17, my first and last Brooks. While it was comfy enough, it did not offer anything over a modern, synthetic material saddle. The Brooks required some maintenance and would sag when wet. Not really suitable for year round commuting or mountain biking. I now have...

Another single track commute. It was beautiful, but oh so wet. I got soaked.

Specialized Turbo Levo FSR Comp 6Fattie

I have not seen a 720Wh battery mentioned for Levos. For other brands using Brose there are 720Wh (BH, maybe Rotwild).

    independent e bike technician

Do you know if Bosch provides actual repair training? Or is it just diagnosis, software updates and replacement process?

What are the dealers trained to do with out-of-warranty motors? If my suspension or other components break, I'm sure my local shop can fix them and I'm happy to pay for labour and parts. But if the motor breaks? I'm genuinely interested as my KTM is now out of warranty and the motor has already...

Specialized Turbo Levo FSR Comp 6Fattie

Bump this thread. Here's my "new" Levo Comp 2017. I bought it second had, but it had only 222km on the clock so basically it was like new. After couple of rides here are my thoughts. It rides and pedals great. So good that I can live with the quirks the bike has. It's size XL and fits me...

I had a second proper ride on my Specialized Turbo Levo Comp. Off to the trails, surprisingly there was some snow left from the first snow we got couple of weeks ago. +8C and overcast result in dull photos. Some rocky descent. The suspension works great on the Levo. A rare treat here...

Best way to find and navigate off-road MTB routes

I have tried a boat load of tools and programs. I've been using this combo for a long time now: GPSies for creating, editing or uploading GPX tracks. For navigation I use an Android phone with Osmand. I can download tracks from the GPSies web site directly into Osmand. Great stuff.

Couple of boring night ride shots. It's getting chilly, -1C. I was using my smaller Lezyne Microdrive 450XL light and without helmet light it was quite a challenge. But the main reason I posted, look what I got. A Specialized Turbo Levo Comp 2017. The bike has its own quirks, but I just love...

    What cranks on Bosch?

ISIS crank arms with M15 bolts. Should be available pretty much everywhere. You will need a crank puller too.

    Hello from Finland!

Hello and welcome/tervetuloa! Oulu is the winter cycling capital of the world, or at least Finland :-D Keep your hands, head and feet warm. It takes trial and error to find out what suits you in the cold. It's tricky not to freeze or over heat when riding during the winter. I've noticed ~30%...

Cool bike, I like it. Best of the new KTMs in my opinion.

Refreshing and bleeding hydraulic brake fluid?

DIY when needed. It's quite easy with Shimano brakes.

    Q-Factor Bosch

Good find guys! There might be something about eFatbike cranks. I've gone thru couple cranks arms (got them warranteed) and I know one guy who mangled his crank arms in no time after getting new Fat ebike. Maybe it's the rocky terrain, or combination of monster traction and push of the motor...

Knowing you, you will enjoy the time spent cleaning that matte paint [emoji854] Congrats on the new bike, I'm looking forward to read ride reports.

Would compulsory insurance for all electric bikes put you off?

But would you accept insurance if you could go over 250W? That's how it is here, 251W-1000W insurance required (no registeration necessary as max speed is still 25kph). DIY builds seem to be ok. Insurance is about £50-70/year.

    Cube Stereo with "spanner" icon

It's just a reminder to get the bike to scheduled service. Just ignore it and keep pedaling. www.bosch-ebike.com/en/components/intuvia/
