    Whoosh Crank-Drive Tongsheng Kit review.

I have a TSDZ2 fitted to a 2007 Specialized Stumpjumper. It is brilliant. The only fitting issue is that you can't secure the anti-rotation bracket to anything. You would struggle to incorporate the anti-rotation feature on any full-suspension bike to be honest, because the bit of the bike it...

    TSDZ2 vs HAIBIKE XDuro NDuro

Battery holds 15 AH ebike, motors are > 95% efficient. All that it left is the quality of the ride + power delivery,

    TSDZ2 vs HAIBIKE XDuro NDuro

Yes, torq is just power delivery over short spaces of time. One thing I wanted to point out is that buying a Bosch system you are paying for reliability/warranty and power delivery preference only. Motors are 95% efficient, so out of a given battery pack you will roughly get the same range...

    Tongsheng TSDZ2. Your experiences.

It definitely takes standard 110 BCD. Maybe they sell an adapter because you don't exactly get a great choice of 110 BCD ones. I really struggled to find a 110 BCD chainring which was bigger (more teeth) than the supplied one, good quality and had track/race teeth.

    TSDZ2 vs HAIBIKE XDuro NDuro

Both bikes were in the highest (turbo) assist level at all times. The battery report is scientifically useless as you say - just an experience. The battery on the kit bike was 1.5 years old and had been used whereas the Haibike was new. Lets be clear, the electric motors used on ebikes these...

    TSDZ2 vs HAIBIKE XDuro NDuro

Hi, Here's a brief field report and a couple of pics of my kit bike: Kit bike: 2007 Specialized Stump Jumper FSR Expert with TSDZ2 and 10.4 AH battery from ebike sales. L size frame. Paid £350 for it on ebay. Haibike: I am not sure what the exact model was because my friend is a bit cagey...

Interesting response to a request to head office of Go Outdoors about converting a Calibre Bossnut!

I've got my battery slung underneath the bottom tube on a full suspension mountain bike. I just used 3 thickish releasable cable ties. I don't see it falling off! It not the most aesthetically pleasing though and would be pretty easy to pinch if I left it anywhere. Having the weight low down...

    Tongsheng TSDZ2. Your experiences.

I finally got around to investigating my problems with my TSDZ2 build and it did turn out that it was entirely the fault of the battery. When I opened it up, I found one of the metal strips connecting one 'block' of cells to another had become unsoldered and was making intermittent contact...

How do I work this one out? Battery/Motor issues.

Battery is this one: http://ebike-sales.co.uk/product/rocket-battery-36v-13ah-black The LEDs are on the battery, it has a bar of 5 LEDs. It's out of warranty. A while ago ebike-sales did say I could send it back while it was under warranty however I never knew if it was the battery or the...

    Tongsheng TSDZ2. Your experiences.

I'm still trying to ascertain whether TSDZ2 was the problem or whether it was the 'cheap' battery I bought. I made a thread about it just now. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/how-do-i-work-this-one-out-battery-motor-issues.28936/ What I will say is when it worked it was awesome...

How do I work this one out? Battery/Motor issues.

Brief history: first DIY ebike 9 years ago (AlienOcean kit), fantastic...Zooom. but then battery fail, battery fail, another battery fail. Gave up on it for many years. A year ago, I bought a TSDZ2 kit from Ebike-Sales (or something like that), I also bought a battery from them which fitted...

Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

Are there any rules that say you MUST say these are only for off-road use? Anyway the regulations are nonsense, must 'illegal' kits only allow you to do what a very fit rider could do for a short space of time with less effort. Which is safer - going 25 mph on a push bike while fully alert, or...

    BBS02 Top Speed

As others said, bigger chain ring and smaller rear spocket. I have a Nexus-8 with 15t sprocket and a 46t chain ring. 44t, 20t is really low gearing with a nexus-8 and would be a hill climbing rather than speed setup.. I still feel assist going at around 34mph going down hills. It will still...

My Carrera Vengeance Ultimate/ TSDZ2 build (in progress..)

Yeah, hope I'm wrong but I'd say ideally you need to get the tensioner wheel up a lot closer to the chainstay so that the chain engages more teeth on the rear sprocket. I think I ended up with the Surly in 'push up' mode (you just reminded me). The tensioner soundwave posted looks like it may...

My Carrera Vengeance Ultimate/ TSDZ2 build (in progress..)

I think when I had a previous bike set up a bit like that, with a tensioner and the chain engaging with relatively few of the rear cog teeth, I had problems with the chain slipping a lot. I remember going through several tensioners, the first couple were rubbish. Ended up with a Surly...

My Carrera Vengeance Ultimate/ TSDZ2 build (in progress..)

Hi footpump. I'm still finding the bike good on hills. Can go up 1 in 5 slopes almost as if it was flat ground. It also makes going up longer, less steep slopes a lot less effort, but yes, you do have to put reasonable effort in. I tend to use relatively high gearing. Compared to my...

My Carrera Vengeance Ultimate/ TSDZ2 build (in progress..)

Not that many, maybe 300ish. Most I've done in a day was 50. The rear hub is a Nexus 8-Speed (which is what the bike comes with as standard although the first one broke)

TSDZ2 vs BBS-HD which would you chose?.

It's never stopped working. Its just temperamental - battery switches itself off and then the system performs strangely afterwards. Probably all caused by battery.
