    20" wheel ebike needed

At the moment it is out of commision after two years unused.....but really I'm unsure as it is relatively light and moreover I really loved mine when I was able to ride it.

    20" wheel ebike needed

Many thanks guys.....a folding option is not necessary in this case. Good of you to reply...I'm obliged. Price is not really an issue here if the bike is suitable.

    20" wheel ebike needed

I'm looking for a bike with 20" wheels, as light as possible and with a range around 50 miles. A tall order I know but my friend is barely five feet and around 7stone. She already has a Moulton TRS with an ARCC epod conversion. It may be she would consider a slightly smaller wheel size. Does...

    What do you think?

Many thanks for your suggestions and I will explore all of these. It's difficult to choose a bike for another person as preferences will differ with the individual and I will feel responsible if it doesn't work out. It would be better if she could try out all the bikes but up here in Scotland...

    What do you think?

I now have the unenviable job of finding a suitable E-bike for a woman friend of mine who is tiny, very light and not too strong, and who is incredibly particular. She's an experienced cyclist but is now getting on a bit. I've found this bike, which seems to be the sort of thing she is looking...

    E-bike for very small person

The bike is as your image other than it has a Rohloff fitted and is a pretty small frame. I worked at a Bike charity as a mechanic for a few years so no worries re the BB and a throttle wouldn't be needed really as I'm sure that pedal assist would be sufficient. Her main concern is increased...

    E-bike for very small person

in front and with a battery capable of giving a range of around 70 miles assisted. I was thinking of something with a BBS01 motor and a battery capable of around 70 miles assisted. Nothing set in stone and I'm open to suggestions from those that know better as I'm new to e-assist cycling.

    E-bike for very small person

Yep....they would be ideal and not too far away. Would you be able to supply them with an appropriate kit to meet the spec required?

    E-bike for very small person

Thanks Pete.... I'm now wondering if I should tackle the job myself and order a kit from ebay or suchlike. I believe that a front wheel will come with the motor installed so I may manage it if I can sit for some of the time. This may be preferable to packing and transporting the bike to some...

    E-bike for very small person

Yes...she has decided to use her Roberts tourer for conversion and I think the set-up you suggest would be the one to go for. I would have like to do the conversion myself but no longer feel able and it would be great if there were someone around my area who could do the job. Any business in...

Wow........she may have to sell a few body parts.

    E-bike for very small person

Like me she's getting old but she can still pedal so I'd have to quiz her on that. I'll try to give her all the possibilities and then she can choose. I'm having to put my own Mouton TSR27 with e-assist by ARCC up for sale as soon as I can give it a polish as I've given up hoping that I'm going...

    E-bike for very small person

Thanks for that Dewey but I'm pretty well knackered these days (broken back and very old) and can't do that sort of work these days. Something to consider though. @wheeliepete....at present she has a Moulton TSR27 which has been converted by ARCC but seems to have her heart set on drops and...

    E-bike for very small person

That may be a little long...even with some sweep-back. I do wish she could have settled for a different handlebar. There are so many which would suit I'm sure. I had to make up something to fit a Rohloff twist grip on the last drops she had.

    E-bike for very small person

Thanks for that, it does look like an interesting bike. On the 47cm frame I wonder what the virtual top=tube length would be....probably around the same or slightly more. The motor being completely new would worry me a bit though...unproved and all that.

    E-bike for very small person

My female friend is in the market for an E-bike with a range of up to 70 miles and it must have drop handlebars. The problem is that she's tiny...4'10 with her arms raised and with a very slight build. She is an experienced cyclist and prefers drop-bars, and the problem which I have experienced...

    Backache

No....I meant what I said. When seated on the saddle it should only be possible to touch the ground only with the ball of the foot rather than the whole foot. When coming to a halt, rather than remaining seated the rider should move forward straddling the cross-bar and having one foot remaining...

    Backache

Usually, with an over-large frame the problem is with the top-tube being too long and causing the rider to have to raise up the head in order to see. This certainly causes neck problems and upper back pain and especially if ridden long distances. If the saddle is at the correct height then it...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

    Seems reasonable.
