is this any good as a back up battery 36v 250? 6ah any import duty

Be very careful with parallel battery set-ups, before connecting them up they must be at the same voltage, or very close. A large current flow from the higher voltage pack to the lower one can damage cells.

How often does the bbso1 need to be in the correct gear?

On my BBS01 350W I usually start off in 2nd or 3rd (14-28 FW) saving the 28 for climbing hills. The lower you go the more battery power you will save, but the more frustrated you get changing gear all the time!

Anyone have experience of eliefbike / pswpower batteries

Since it is January maybe the cold and wind is affecting the range? Still disappointing though. When you say the battery won’t fit your wife’s bike, what is the issue?

help in finding 7 speed screw on freewheel for 350w rear hub moter.

You only need the splines to remove a freewheel, the ‘ratchet’ is locked when you screw it on the wheel thread. A cassette hub has splines and a thread, a freewheel hub has only a thread.

    bbso1 250w max speed change?

On my DPC14 lcd display the number of levels is set on the ‘Advanced’ menu item, which you need the password to enter. The password on this display is 1919. The USB programming cable does not give access to the number of levels offered by the display.

what might be left in 17ah battery?

It’s a 10S battery, 10 cells in series, so 33.5 is about 3.3v per cell, minimum is 2.8v per cell as stated in your table, but the voltage will drop rapidly once you get close to 3v per cell. Here’s a link to a test of an LG 18650 which shows the a discharge curve. No idea which LG cells you...

    bbso1 250w max speed change?

Depends on your size/weight etc, 24/25 mph sounds a bit optimistic for a 250W unit, 20 to 22 on the flat with no wind I would have guessed.

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

That's not the point is it? The EU sees China giving subsidies to their own manufacturers which makes their products cheaper, so they think that charging an import tax will level the playing field. If only it worked like that...

Q128C seems very slow - normal or not?

I think you need to rotate that so the cable runs downwards. Stops water getting in the motor. Oops, Woosh beat me to it!!

Nihola cargo trike, Bafang or Sunstar?

You can get the Lekke Bling ring in a 36 or 42 tooth for the BBS01/2, e.g.: https://www.brightonebikes.co.uk/store/p55/Lekkie®_Bling_Ring_BBS01B/02B_-_36_tooth.html You can also get a 104mm BSD adaptor and use any standard chainring, with that BSD, but the chain line is a bit more difficult.

    Yosepower hub kits.

I exchanged a few eBay messages with ysbattery2012 before Christmas as I was enquiringly about a 700C front wheel. They responded very quickly and did say they were expecting more stock in the New Year, so it may be worth asking about a disc brake wheel. Reading the listing again, as nealh says...

    Yosepower hub kits.

Thanks for that Nealh, thinking it through I am considering this as a conversion for my wife’s bike, so the extra speed for a 48v set-up would not be welcome! Having the confidence of knowing that you received a well built wheel is very valuable.

New Legal Speed Limit: What should it be?

We have a lot if cycle paths where I live and mopeds are allowed to use them at 30, I find it very scarey at half that speed with dog walkers and children about. Keeps my concentration up though.
