    Brexit, for once some facts.

It's often stated that those who voted Brexit didn't understand the issues, whereas, by some magic, those who voted Remain, did. I'm firmly on the fence as a disenfranchised Brit living in Europe, but I worked in Brussels for 12 years in close contact with the EC, and I haven't yet met a...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I've posted on another thread as a Brit living in Euroland who believes himself to be European, but was denied a vote on the issue. It's important that folk realise that we are where we are - bad things may happen during and after Brexit, but, given the hostile and threatening things being said...

Raleigh are increasing prices by 10% as from August 1.

I'm a UK ex-pat living in Euroland. I didn't get a vote, so I can't be blamed. (I lost my UK vote after 15 years away. However, if you have certain UK income, the Revenue won't let you have it until they've taxed it - whatever happened to ' no taxation without representation'? Perhaps I should...

Price increases, has anyone come across any since Friday?

Well now...there are some advantages to living in the Eurozone. Mind you, it's been reported here in Ireland that supermakets were under pressure from Unilever. They bought the stuff wholesale in Euros to start with!

119kg, 5ft6in, 29.5in inner leg recommend a stepthrough bike please

Sorry - only just seen your reply - it's excellent on hills. It has the Performance Cruise rather than the Active Cruise motor, and gives me exactly the right mix of exercise and fun. However, for those who know Kinsale, I don't normally try to climb up the steep hill up from the Bulman..... :)

Cube 2016 Travel Pro step through sizing

Howard, I'm the same size as you, and found that the Cube 54cm step-through was a good fit. For some finer adjustment, I've replaced the cruising handlbars with straight ones, and fitted a shorter stem, but that's just a personal preference - useful to consider if you need to alter anything.

119kg, 5ft6in, 29.5in inner leg recommend a stepthrough bike please

Hi Kitty Kat, I'm somewhat taller than you, but with a similar inside leg. I have a 54cm Cube Touring Hybrid step through (old sporting back injuries preclude swinging of the leg :( ), which fits me well, although I've fitted straight bars and a shorter stem as I don't like the touring bars...

    This mornings Sunday Times

Yup - that would work. I've 12T at the back and a 2.5 x internally geared up 15T sprocket. As with my previous ebike, I'm experimentally raising the front gearing to 17T or 19T (I never use the lower 3 gears on the cassette) so I'll be able to join the elite speedsters. However, mine's a touring...

    This mornings Sunday Times

A technical question....I normally manage over 20mph on my regular rides, but downhill, and with my gearing, pedalling doesn't help, so no assistance either. The Bosch system 'rewards' me by multiplying the effort I'm putting in. In order to reach 30mph or beyond, a similar system must have some...

    This mornings Sunday Times

I'm sure this point has been made on the thread, but I've missed it. The media seem to think that 'legal' pedelecs are limited to 15 mph, but no-one seems to have told them that pedelecs have no upper speed limit beyond that applying on the stretch of road - it's simply that power assistance...

    Another newbie....

Hi All, I'm on my second pedelec in 6 years - first bike was a folding hub drive. Worked well, but I've upgraded to a Cube touring hybrid with 500 battery. It has more range than I'll ever use......
