    Orbea handlebar change

I have an Orbea Gain with drop handlebars which I love. However, I've developed a bit of a back problem and want to change my handlbars for straight ones as the reach is too much with the drop bars (braking). Is this easy to do? And if so, can anyone recommend bars?

    Gearing and motor

OK, I feel like a right plonker! Had the bike out today with the motor turned off so I could test/feel the gears without any assist. The mechanism was a bit clunky to start with but after cycling the gears for a while it settled down and became very smooth. Then turned the motor on and WOW! No...

    Gearing and motor

Hmm, I think there may be a problem after reading these latest replies. I've not tried the top two settings (sport or turbo) but I've tried the tour setting and still get a definite feel of cut out. I've called a reasonably nearby shop who are willing to check it over for me and change the front...

    Gearing and motor

Yep, that's the position of the sensor. I haven't tried on the high settings yet and that might be part of the solution. However, I have been thinking about the physics of this as I've had no error message. Now this is a dangerous thing as I haven't done pure Physics since A level!:) But, the...

    Gearing and motor

OK. I've found a shop specialising in e-Bikes not too far away. They are authorised Bosch dealers and service specialists so even though they don't stock my bike, they should be OK to look at the system. I'll give them a ring tomorrow (they close at 4:30!!) and see what they say. Thanks for the...

    Gearing and motor

Oh no! I can't really take the bike back. My partner bought it on-line (new) but the shop is over 100 miles away. I'm feeling depressed now:(. I can check the magnet position, but it looks right. I don't know what to do.

    Gearing and motor

OK guys, Thanks so far, but I think you've misunderstood slightly with the first point. I am well aware that the motor is designed to cut out at 15.5 mph. However, I can't even get that fast (I think becasue of the low gearing). The fastest I get is 16 kmph (not mph), which is very slow, unless...

    Gearing and motor

OK. Following loads of good advice on this forum and from some MTB bods I know, my other half bought me the Cube Access WLS Pro 500 as a joint birthday/Christmas prezzie. Lucky girl me! However I have a couple of niggles/questions. 1. Is the motor supposed to be engaged all the time when I...

    Help?

Thank you all for your replies. These have been quite helpful and I've had a look at some of the suggestions. I don't think the Wisper Torque is for me. It isn't a mountain bike and looks like something you would go around town on although the specs seem very good for the price. I like the look...

    Help?

Thanks for the reply Rob. I'm aware I have to put effort in. That's not a problem. I just need something that assists me so I can do the things I used to do without getting too exhausted too quickly. The reason I'm wary about a lower range battery is that I realise that on climbs the battery...

    Help?

OK, I've been doing lots of research and I've basically confused myself. I used to do a lot of cycling but for the past 10 years I've had chronic fatigue syndrome which means I can still get out on my bike but I can't get far and then I have no energy for ages afterwards (sometimes days). I want...
