    Kalkhoff Pro-Connect 9G no power?

No easy fix I've overlooked then? Oh well, I'll have a more detailed look at it over the weekend perhaps.

    Kalkhoff Pro-Connect 9G no power?

Hello Folks, not been on here for a while but have been happily riding a fair bit. My now rather battered Kalkhoff has just stopped assisting me, it has the dreaded Impulse 2 motor but I don't think that's the problem. I'd done around 4,800 miles when I went over a bump and the mile count reset...

    Panniers for grocery shopping.

I use pretty ordinary panniers which are permanently fixed to the bike with cable ties. They are just the right size for slipping a shopping bag inside so I shop in the normal way and pack the shopping into the bags at the checkout then slip the bags into the panniers. Obviously a thief could...

    Holiday Pottering

Last weekend I took the motorhome and eBike up to Moor Edge Farm in Crich as I was attending the AGM of the Peak District Mine History Society. A fantastic ride along the Cromford Canal to get to the mining museum.

    Cromford Canal

I'm camping near Crich at the weekend and need to get to Matlock Bath. I've cycled along the Cromford Canal towpath before between High Peak junction and Cromford wharf but does anyone know if it's cyclable from High Peak junction to the Whatsandwell area? (on a touring bike not eMTB)

    Super Soco TC Max Motorbike

Good news, yes I saw the release about the TS-X, I have heard some cynics suggesting it's just the TC motor......?

    Super Soco TC Max Motorbike

Certainly riding the TS there are only limited circumstances where you need/want anything other than full throttle :D

    Super Soco TC Max Motorbike

I'd agree with the jerky throttle, I think this is due to their being no resistance as you'd get with a cable throttle on a petrol engine. I've also found that you can't 'blip' the throttle (for want of a better word) in fact doing so will cut the power for a second or so, it's almost as if the...

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

Well I hit a snag the other day, two road closures with diversions on my normal route to work. Normally each journey leaves me a comfortable 40-50% battery however the two diversions were long enough to reduce battery capacity to 6% with only 3 miles range showing when I got home. Back in the...

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

Thanks for alerting me to that, I'd missed it somehow. They do look great and I'm very tempted to upgrade......

    Super Soco TC Max Motorbike

Fantastic stuff, I've got the TS which I am currently riding as a moped on my old car licence entitlement. But I reckon CBT then a TC Max is on the cards. I used to love riding to work on my eBike but when I changed jobs earlier in the year I found the earlier starts and much less pleasant...

    First bicycle road accident tonight.

Glad it didn't turn out too bad in the end. Having been involved in a couple of minor shunts (in cars) where the other driver offered to pay for repairs oout of their pocket rather than through insurance and having them become incredibly evasive when it actually comes to it, I would always...

    Ebike insurance

One wonders why it would cost several hundred pounds to insure a bike? It can only be the high likelihood of theft as although it is possible to do significant damage to a third party my perception is that these incidents are extremely rare?

    Changed Commute - Super Soco?

Well, 3 months later and I've been using the Super Soco regularly for commuting and have covered around 1800 miles. I'm still pretty pleased with it and have had only a couple of minor issues. The performance is definitely a little lacklustre though...

    Holiday Pottering

Thanks for the tip :). I did think at the time it would have been handy to have some brake cleaner. Unfortunately I had limited stuff to hand on the campsite.

Finally got around to replacing the brake pads, and not a moment too soon (in fact probably a bit too late.

This was a great little bridleway around the Keyhaven marshes. A very pleasant ride!
