Crossfire still has torque sensor though, but I can ride slowly (around 7mph) up hills with very little effort although I usually take it to above 15.5mph which can take some effort on the steeper hills. So I’m guessing very little effort on a Bosch crank drive wouldn’t get you far?

Also when mine cuts out and I turn it back on with the display button, the bike works but I can't change any of the settings so I am stuck in tour mode. If I remove the display then it is fine until it cuts out again.

A lot of these tech heads are on the spectrum and are unaware or simply don't care how they come across - they don't go out of their way to offend people but their passion and interests outweigh everything else.

Do you think there is a reason for Suntour changing the climb modes? Its like they don't want you to use a 100% assist on a hill, or is there something different with the torque in climb mode?

Thanks for the comment Fordulike - it wasn't freshly charged or empty, I was coming home from work so think it would have been in the 40-50% region. Maybe it was just one of those things, just a bit strange as I haven't used Sport on hill before. I'll try it again and see what happens.

Picked up a new Crossfire about a month ago, gutted as I missed out on the recent sale. So far no issues with cut outs or it turning on etc. but have only covered 60 miles. My 14 mile round trip commute uses around 30% of the battery but I don't sit at 15 mph so don't use the motor the whole time.
