Need New Handlebars Due to Accident

Dropped off at Richardson Bike Mart by White Rock Lake a few minutes ago. They're gonna do a complete tuneup check all the cables, spokes, add a short yoke that will bring the bars about a 1 1/2" closer, ordered 3 1'2 riser bars, will reset the brakes, cables, etc. About $150. Very decent deal...

Need New Handlebars Due to Accident

interesting. Let me check out what the bike company has to say once I drop it over there. They are gonna have to tweak a few things anyway, lots of scraped metal and so forth.

Handlebars like yours would probably do the trick. Will try those at the bike shop

Need New Handlebars Due to Accident

Looks great. Good suggestion - I went out and tried it. Unfortunately at the point above the main stem, it starts to slant upward - which means when you turn it around, it slants downward. Would probably make riding near impossible

Wondering if a new stem might also be a solution.

Need New Handlebars Due to Accident

Interesting. Did you only replace the handlebars only - or the stem too? I'm looking at a 3 1/2 and a 5 1/2 riser bars. The ones that came on the bike are almost straight - a very small rise

Need New Handlebars Due to Accident

I bought a X-Treme Trailmaker E-Bike last year and rode the heck out of it. Moved back to Dallas and rode the Sante Fe Trail to White Rock Lake/Trail, doing 12-16 miles 4-5 times a week. Aug 20th that stopped. I was transitioning from the trail to the asphalt road and hit some kind of pothole...

Just Bought XTreme Trail Maker - PAS issue

I did as you requested: "Is the PAS working or not? What you said is too vague. Put the bike in its lowest gear, lift the motor-wheel off the ground and turn the pedals. Does the motor overtake the pedals?" and the determination was that it did not. However the throttle does work fine. Also...

thanks for the reply. Tried what you said. No PAS with me turning the pedals until I reached over and hit the throttle.

Just Bought XTreme Trail Maker - PAS issue

But, I seem to have to use the throttle. I cant really feel the PAS, maybe just a bit in 3rd. Got on a new GIANT down at Bike World and felt how PAS should work. Mine is nothing like that. Any suggestions?
