    Wisper 905 rear wheel/rim.

Well the wheel's off the bike now. I'm not sure I have the confidence to relace it myself as I've never even done a normal wheel. I'll run it into a couple of LBSs tomorrow and get some quotes. Thanks again for the advice:)

    Wisper 905 rear wheel/rim.

Thanks for all the helpful advice guys. The problem now has become acute as the rim gave out with a bang today on my morning ride! So I need to order a 26" 36 hole rim to fit a 26 x 1.95 tyre and some new spokes. They measure 220mm from rim to hub, does that sound about right? Also I'm...

    Wisper 905 rear wheel/rim.

Thanks very much for the advice. I think a rebuild is going to be the best option, hadn't got round to thinking about that. I'll contact local bike shops.

    Wisper 905 rear wheel/rim.

Thanks for the swift reply. I've already spoken to someone at Wisper but they're talking of around £360 for a new assembly which, given the age and condition of my bike , is an uneconomic repair. There are so many 26" 36volt conversion kits around in the £120 -£160 bracket , I thought perhaps...

    Wisper 905 rear wheel/rim.

Hi, I've been riding a Wisper 905 for a few years now, it was 2nd hand when I got it so I guess it's about 10 -12 years old. Recently I noticed that the rim has started to break up. Its where the brake blocks have been rubbing. [My fault entirely, the wheel buckled and I didn't get it true...

    Wiring problem.

Hi, I've got an intermittent fault with my 905. The main wire to the moulded block in front of the handlebars has become loose. This is the wire from the control box which goes through the frame into a Y shaped block which in turn goes to the brakes, hand throttle and on/off, lights etc...

    Wisper PAS removal

Thanks Emo, I'll have another look tomorrow although I think it will be a wiring fault ; with the bike upside-down and moving the crank the motor will cut in if the wire's in the right position.

    Wisper PAS removal

My Wisper 905 has developed an intermittant fault, i.e. no pedal assist. The throttle works fine. I think there is a loose wire in the PAS as jiggling the wire will return the bike to normal. That said, I will need to remove the PAS and check it out which brings me to my question ........ Are...

    Wisper intermittent fault.

Thanks very much for all the replies. I will check out the wiring as suggested. I used the bike this morning with no problems. Is it worth spraying WD 40 down the axle shaft in case there's any water incursion?

    Wisper intermittent fault.

Hi all, new member but long time user of the forum. My Wisper 905 has been working well since I bought it, used, off eBay but yesterday it failed. I had ridden my usual route to the shop for the paper and when I got back on and started back home there was a noise from the motor, a sort of...

    Hello from windy Warwickshire!

Hi all, I've been looking at Pedelecs for a while now and it's a great forum, lots of good advice and knowledgeable members! Hope that I'll someday be able to help people out. I bought a used Wisper 905se a few months ago on eBay, it was £420 and about 3 years old so I reckon that the price was...
