Interested to see how you got on with your build and motor mount modification? I'm planning on fitting the bafang to an existing Bosch Active line plus. But, not sure how easy it will be to weld the mount to the existing frame...I imagine I will have to do a fair bit of cutting of the original...

Did you manage to get any further with this? I would love to swap out my Bosch active line plus on my commuter and change to the Bafang ultra but I expect I’ll need a mount that works with the new Bafang motor? I reluctant to go down the welding route thanks

Thanks but unfortunately these spiders have the same offset as the stock mount. I need an actual offset chainring.

Hi, I have installed the TSDZ2 motor as a single speed set-up. The stock chainring is 42t. The chain-line isn't perfect, its slightly offset from the rear gear. The stock chainring is not flat but is slightly offset towards the centre which i believe must be designed to reduce the chain-line...

That's perfect thanks. I think the crank gear/motor probably likes to turn a bit faster so i might try go for a 44t crank and a slightly lower gear say 14/15t. However, I haven't even tried this motor yet so could be talking absolute b***ocks. maybe its absolutely fine handling the extra strain...

Hi, In your experience what single speed gearing ratio has worked best for you? my commute is fairly flat and I doubt I will want to or be able exceed much more than 22mph in the city. I'm more concerned about getting off the mark with this motor so need a gearing that will allow me to do so...

thanks. I think i'm going to take the plunge and go with the 6.8ah battery. Yes, its a risk but it also looks far more stealthy which is the look i'm going for with the TSDZ2 motor.
