advice on BBSHD and alternatives to build a touring/hybrid bike

Glad you feel like working in a bike shop qualifies you to offer VAT advice, as an expert VAT advisor you would have heard of small enterprise exemptions. Your making a lot of assumptions about how other businesses are operated, like I have already said your time would be better employed keeping...

advice on BBSHD and alternatives to build a touring/hybrid bike

Then you better report me hadn't you, but of course you realise that the vat has been paid on point of entry to the eu, you have I assume heard of fulfillment warehouses. As I said before if a certain uk business who's representative likes to talk himself up on this forum had been more...

You would also know that it is a criminal offence for anyone that knows of a Vat fraud not to report it, so crack on son any excuse not to answer the phone

Well it was shipped from Germany, so there is no reason to falsely declare anything more to the point who exactly is going to force them to close there business? Chinese companies regularly do this as a matter of course because it is so often requested by their foreign customers, so I'm not sure...

Project: Carrera Kraken conversion with BBSHD

    1. Possibly the lekkie 46t has about 20mm offset but you can always add a spacer. 2. Not required 3. 46t would be fine for road use I like my 36t for off road stuff 4. Cadence sensor Starts working when you turn the pedals 5. Pass 6. Other people use them I've never bothered. 7. Don't get...

advice on BBSHD and alternatives to build a touring/hybrid bike

Well good luck addressing those 3 issues. Just to add I have covered over 5000 miles on my bbs02b and 4000 on the tongseng both without issues although the tongseng is noticeably more noisey even after re-greasing. I would also advise you get the after market socket/installation tool if you go...

Project: Carrera Kraken conversion with BBSHD

Also i would suggest that with the bbshd and its extra weight you might want to consider a full suspension bike, I have two mid drive bikes, one hardtail frome ripley 1 bought brand new, with a tongsheng 500w and a second-hand giant yukon 2 full suspension bouggt for £180 with a 750w bbs02...

You may struggle to get a mid drive motor in your carbon frame, some carbon frames have beefed up bb so you may not have the clearance. I have both the tongsheng 500w and bbs02b750w I'd choose the bbs02 over the tongseng any day, purely on build quality, operating noise and the colour display...

    Overvolting a Pendleton somerby

Cheers Dave it's a nine pin connector, 3 pins slightly longer and thicker which I assume are the phase pins. I'll get on with orderering the sine wave controller. Many thanks

Ok so I stopped being lazy and did some further digging, from what i understand you are referring to a hall sensor and if my motor has one it should have 7/8 pins in the moulded connector coming from the motor, is this correct Dave?

    Overvolting a Pendleton somerby

Ok Dave how do I check this I've reached the limit of my knowledge. Do you mean the pas sensor ? It's a bafang motor, there is a serial number on it but I can't see any model number.

Like I said before though, top speed isn't a priority it's main increased range and hopefully a bit more grunt up hill, she wants.

13t on top gear 32t bottom 8 speed by-dnp slick shift. Dunno about that level 5 Dave, I think that extra 250w my mrs experenced on my bike has driven her power crazy. Although I dare say that will soon end in the first week when she falls off and either never rides it again or gets me to put...

    Overvolting a Pendleton somerby

Hi Dave, thanks for the response, pretty sure it's already running at 36v have to double check when I get home but I'm 99% sure it's 36v. What are your thoughts on the controller I know you recommend them for the q128.

    Overvolting a Pendleton somerby

Hi all, Been lurking for a while slowly building up my knowledge, to the point where I manage to build my own bike, tszd2 500w on a forme ripley 1 mtb. Really enjoyed the process and the results have been great, managing to do a regular 50 mile round trip commute 3 times a week...
