Sunstar s03 kit colour code for battery wires

Thank you all, I think it might be best to just buy a battery and holder with the right plug on. None of this problem with my ecrazyman controller and ezee hub. But another £400 wisely invested I suppose. Will post anything useful I learn.

Sunstar s03 kit colour code for battery wires

Thanks, I was hoping I could find out how to connect battery to this plug which is on the motor/controller. I think it's just 2 positives and 2 negatives.

Sunstar s03 kit colour code for battery wires

Hi all, I've been away for a while but now trying to get back into electric bikes again. Nice to see the same people still on here. I have bought a Sunstar S03 24v kit without a battery as I wanted to make up my own but I can't decide where to connect the positive and the negative. On the motor...

How far do you want to go?

Racks are generally very strong but on rough terrain the constant flexing will damage them. I went on a cycle tour (unpowered) with 2 panniers (total 16kg) on an aluminium (Reise and Muller) rack and it was fine on smooth roads but failed (after 4 weeks) due to very rough tracks. If I were...

    electric tricycle legality

Trikes are great. I too hardly use the car now and it still makes me smile every time I use it. I can ride 50 miles (2 batteries) without the aches of a normal bike. I fitted a rear hub to mine but I feel that a crank drive would be better. Waiting for the S03 36v kit or a Bosch kit to appear.

New Super Light Tongxin Motor Design/Kit

Just out of interest what speed do you manage on a flat with minimal pedalling? I get to about 22 or 23mph with the 260rpm motor. I did wonder whether I should have gone for a lower rpm one as this is more likely to reach it's full speed and be more efficient and also I wonder how much strain...

New Super Light Tongxin Motor Design/Kit

That sounds great. Did you say that you use a normal cassette? That's a real plus point for me. I have a front hub with built in controller (on my race bike) and I do find that it runs on after you stop pedalling which can be very disconcerting - luckily I have good brakes. I haven't got round...

Brompton M2L-X (Titanium) - Super Lightweight Pedelec Conversion

PS I like the skateboard idea but are they legal?

Brompton M2L-X (Titanium) - Super Lightweight Pedelec Conversion

Just for info, I have the 260rpm Goldant with built in controller fitted to a 700c wheel on my race bike and on the flat with some pedalling gets you to about 24mph. Apart from the mad dash to 20mph when you start pedalling and the slight 2 to 3 seconds delay when you stop pedalling, it's a...

    Can anybody beat this record???

Sadly I too have lots of puncture stories mainly from the farmer cutting the thorn bushes on the cycle track I use to work. The worst event was having all 3 tyres punctured on my trike. Had to throw the tube away and one of the tyres as riding on flat damaged the bead. BUT the worst thing that...

Cytronex feature request - bring back the reduced torque mode button

The cutout brake sounds like a good idea. Where do I get one of them from? I have to say that this little motor is seriously good and so quiet I often think it's stopped working until I stop pedalling. With the controller built into the hub it is so neat. The only blot is that the motor carries...

Cytronex feature request - bring back the reduced torque mode button

I have put a Goldant motor onto my Cannodale race bike (I will write a build report soon) and so I feel I can comment on the issues above. Rightly or wrongly I put a 280rpm motor into the 700c wheel. Well, as I have never had a pedelec before (previously throttle only ezee kits), this bike came...

Overvolting - as easy as it sounds?

Just my 2p worth. I run an ezee motor (350rpm in 20") wheel with an ezee 36V battery in series with a 4s Lipo (used in electric helicopters etc) bought from ebay. It is true that you have to be careful with connections and charge the batteries separately but it works fine as a set up to get more...

    Rear light

I bought a Hope District +, now that is a bright light. Ribble cycles were best price. Battery separate to light unit but great if you use a saddle bag. I have also ordered the new one from Exposure lights (Blaze) but not got it yet. My other recommendation is the Exposure Flare - super bright...

New Super Light Tongxin Motor Design/Kit

Thanks all but I've now managed to sort this. I realized that I could try the pedal sensor from my other kit and behold it works. So the sensor was faulty. Going to fit it all properly and give you a full appraisal and build notes. Thanks for all the help and particularly Jerry for putting...

New Super Light Tongxin Motor Design/Kit

Thanks Jerry, centre was positive in your previous thread. I connected a battery to the Goldant with the built in controller and it bleeped at me as expected but I can't seem to get the hub working whatever I do with the pedal sensor. I have fitted it as per your pics. Any ideas? Have I missed...

first ride out on Storck Raddar.....

After I tried the Storck a few weeks ago I posted my experience with it. In it I said how impressive the bike was with really smooth integration with my pedalling effort but I personally would have it with a sus fork for the commuting I do. I would have no problem spending £2k+ on a bike of this...

New Super Light Tongxin Motor Design/Kit

Apologies for resurecting an old thread but it's a good one. I've finally fitted the small Goldant motor to my race bike (aka Cytronex) and as there were no instructions I don't know which wire is the +ve and -ve to connect battery. I have the hub with built-in controller and it has a coaxial...
