Hi Kirstin... The short answer to clues, is no....I didn't notice anything untoward, other than that the thumb throttle has always been a bit hit and miss.....eg., it wouldn't always rotate fully, and so only half power was available, until that is, I jiggled it with my thumb to find a way...

My wife has a 6 speed Nano Brompton, converted by Tony Castle some time ago. As she now enjoys here KTM with large stable wheels, the bike has been unused for quite sometime, except for my using it to drop the car of for servicing, and 6 mile return trip.....but battery has been charged up...
