The rain on Tuesday got into my charger and it's dead! It was a Sans Electronics 42v at 1.8a - I have tried 8fun (now called eccomobile) but they have no old stock. Any ideas on how to source a suitable replacement? The DC plug / socket looks like a TV ariel - anybody know what that is called...

Very low capacity? I only use my bike back and forth to the railway station - 4 miles each way with a big hill in the way. I have a 10Ah battery - this seems to be overkill. Is it possible,do you think, to ask for a 2/3 Ah battery?

another vote for big apples - watch the clearance though - the 60 profile really do balloon the 50's seem a good compromise :)

key i would think the key is the on/off switch - mine has 3 positions the last one being power on.

The Bafang '250W' with a 36v 9amp pretty much results in an electric moped - but if you do the power calculations you can see why. :D

I recently came off my bike (and broke a wrist) and one of the reasons was a lack of brake power. I have a converted Dawes and it has disc fitments on the rear but a non disc rear wheel. The front conversely has my 8 fun hub motor with disc fittings but a standard fork without calliper...

Visors? I too am looking for a hat following a recent 'incident' - I would like a visor to keep the rain out of my eyes though - does anybody know of such a cycle hat? :confused:

The Sunlova kits that use the 8fun motor are also disc compatible for a front disc :D
