Hi After trying many different batteries (all of which worked on another Torq) we realised that the battery plate is slightly out of alignment - but enough to stop the connection. The motor and everything works fine, I am in the Durham area, can you send me a PM if you want further detail?

Thanks flecc and the others who have replied. I might take another look at the battery, not sure about the hammer bit though. I still don't understand where the other fuse is and if I can look to replacing it myself. The fact that the bike started to cut out with more regularity before it failed...
