I can see that the motor won't kick in until the wheel speed hits a certain level. But as there is no pas sensor I suspect you are correct. Once the initial startup speed is met its a self full filling feedback loop

Thanks for your help. I'm really lost now Tried every single setting with magnet flipped each way. It only ever works backwards. It's really weird on some settings it works backwards no matter which way magnet ring is flipped!
