    Veteran bikes re-born as eBikes?

I've got one of those huge Guzzis too, a 1978 850-S4 (T3 California and LeMans 2 cross). Unfortunately in the shed awaiting time/money/interest to all come together at once !

Lets Discuss an Ebike friendly sticker campaign........

I had a look at the website but could not see where the units are located - without that info seems a complete waste ! From their own figures its 6p to charge a bike battery and £1 a day in registration costs !

Lets Discuss an Ebike friendly sticker campaign........

How about "Bike Charge Point" or just "eBike Point" as an eyecatching logo would probably be more recognisable.

Lets Discuss an Ebike friendly sticker campaign........

Whilst whizzing to work this morning it occured to me that surely it would be in BEBAs best interest to have more charging points and therefore somthing that they should be contributing towards !

Lets Discuss an Ebike friendly sticker campaign........

On the subject of charging to charge : Lets be honest here, the e-bike uptake is very small nationally and the actual chances of one of these establishments getting someone wanting to charge their battery are even slimmer, therefore if any establishment had a sticker up they would probably only...

Our local Vodaphone shop has lockers that you can plug your phone in lock it and leave it for an hour for a charge. You just select what make of phone you have and rent that box (Vodafone offering mobile charging in-store | Electricpig) ! Any locker facility will cost money to set up (to...

Lets Discuss an Ebike friendly sticker campaign........

OK I will chip in with my two penneth worth ! Big green button looks bright, modern and "green". For me a big draw would be if the charging point were somewhere I was going to stay for at least a few hours eg at National Trust property where charging could be free to NT members or ask...

    Lights and Dark Nights

It wouldn't be a case of "Sorry, I did not see you !" rather "Sorry, I was blinded by the lights !"

    Lights and Dark Nights

I have four sets of these LED type lights (Asaklitt Mini White and Red LED Lights.) on each end of the bike, plus relective / flashing wrist and ankle bands. My daughter is embarrassed at what I look like with them all flashing !

    Squeaking Brakes

Try putting copper grease on the BACK of the pads, always worked on my motorbikes.

Has anyone else spotted the "new trend" in helmets ?

At £300 my guess is it will be a very niche market. Swedish firm launches 'invisible' cycle helmet - The Local

Winter commuting by electric bike - share your experiences

Get yourself down to Aldi - todays offers are cycling gear. I am going for the reflective ankle / wrist bands with built in flashing LEDs at £5 for four ! Would suggest lots of layers of clothing and taking spare clothes to change into when you get to work, make sure they are well wrapped...

    Conhismotor electric bike

The seller keeps saying it can reach 40km/h even when I ask for confirmation. He would say that - I doubt there is there a no quibble full money back guarantee on that claim.

Why do people think 25km/h speed limitation is safe?

Having stayed out of this thread so far, surely one major limiting factor would be the tyre grip on the road / gravel / mud / ice in which case it all gets academic (no pun intended) ?

    Tyres?

Just looked those up, my guess is that they have got the tyre pressure units wrong ! Surely the recommended pressure of 3.0 - 4.0 psi should be 3.0 - 4.0 barg.

    e-bike kit sunlova wiring

Not expecting a plug and play - I am pretty handy with a soldering iron & meter. Not that interested in higher speed either 15mph is OK assisted, as I have now got fit enough to do the commute unassisted but would like to swap the front wheel over when the wind gets up or the snow comes down ...

    Wear a helmet folks

According to the police and medical investigation it was a no blame incident, therefore no blame = no claim ! No idea what happened to the people in the other car (although I know no one died).

    Wear a helmet folks

The real unfortunate effect of a REAL accident on the road is that there is no right to compensation. I passed out at the wheel at 30mph unluckily our progress was halted by a car coming towards us at 30mph, subsequent investigations concluded that it was an unforseeable medical condition...
