    Bosch battery not fully charging

Thanks Kinega and Martin. I passed that information on to my dealer, who said they'll be able to do the system update and diagnostics soon as one of them will be doing the necessary course, so that's great. In the meantime, they've lent me one of their chargers. Yesterday (my charger) I got...

    Bosch battery not fully charging

Hi Kinega, I hope you haven't had any further problems with your battery. I tried a conditioning charge, but it hasn't helped. Yesterday for instance, after an overnight charge, when still plugged in, display showed 4 bars and flashing 5th. I disconnected the charger, and showed 4 bars. After...

Anyone got a Raleigh Motus ?

I bought a Motus H (hub geared) low step in July. I'm very pleased with it and it feels more powerful than my old Raleigh Dover (with panasonic motor). The gear range seems perfect for me with the 7 hub gears, although I would have preferred the thumb-shifters rather than grip-shift which seem...

    Bosch battery not fully charging

The bike has just had it's first service and I mentioned the battery charging problem. The shop tried charging my bike/battery with a different charger, and using my charger on a different bike/battery. All fully charged ok. I bring my bike home, but same charging problem. Charges to 4 full...

    Bosch battery not fully charging

I unplugged it after charging overnight (showing 3 bars) then plugged it in to charge again for an hour, and now showing 5 bars. Weird.

    Bosch battery not fully charging

Hello, I recently (3 months ago) replaced my old Raleigh Dover with a new Raleigh Motus which I'm generally very happy with. However, over the past few weeks, the battery seems not to fully charge. The last light flashes and doesn't stay on, however long I leave it charging for. Then when I...

Dead panasonic battery - Raleigh e-bike

Incredibly, I got my bike back today, complete with new motor. Outstanding service from Raleigh and Adventure Cycles (Guernsey). Thank you! What I've noticed so far is the almost complete lack of noise from the motor, and a bit of extra power uphill. I'm sure I'll get extra from the battery now...

Dead panasonic battery - Raleigh e-bike

I've also received an email from Lloyd confirming the above. He tells me the replacement motor will be one of the new ones with higher assistance ratio, and all covered under warranty. Hurray for Raleigh!!

Dead panasonic battery - Raleigh e-bike

:D The shop tells me a new motor will be winging its way over from Lloyd at raleigh this weekend! Thank you everyone. Excellent advice from you all, and great after-care service from Raleigh :)

Dead panasonic battery - Raleigh e-bike

This seems weird. I just put the bike on the back of the car to take to the shop, but I can't push the bike backwards. Resistance on the back wheel. Could it be related?

Dead panasonic battery - Raleigh e-bike

Thank you everyone for your help. I've had a look and can't see any black bits. I'll take it back to the shop tomorrow. A bit annoying though as I'm 2 days over the 2 year guarantee, and it had a full service just 2 weeks ago! I'll update when it's sorted. Thank you all again.

Dead panasonic battery - Raleigh e-bike

The battery took about 5 hours to charge to 5 LEDs (showing 2 when I put it on, even though showed very dead on the bike). When holding the red 'push' button for a few seconds, the LEDs go off, then all 5 light up again.

Dead panasonic battery - Raleigh e-bike

I've been the very proud and happy owner of a Raleigh Dover e-bike for almost 2 years now (2 years next week!). We've done over 4,000 miles together and my bike is my main form of transport. I seem to have been gradually getting less mileage for each battery charge, and was down to about 15...

    Raleigh Dover.....only road or

I've had a Raleigh Dover for 10 months now (2000 miles+) and regularly cycle, often with daughter on trailer bike, on the coastal paths here in Guernsey - parts of which are very uneven, large and small stones, sand etc. No problem! I changed tyres to Marathon Plus Tours but not noticed much...

    Agattu supplier in Scotland?

Have a look on the Raleigh ebike website for a shop where you could try the Raleigh Dover - it's an Agattu clone: Electric Bike Demo

    Shuddering Panasonic batteries & holders

I've done 2000 miles with my Raleigh Dover on not well maintained roads and coastal paths (very uneven sand and grit surface with pebbles and stones) without any problems :)

Are You Really More Likely to Use Electric Bikes?

I've enjoyed cycling over the years, but since having my third baby at 45, and now over 50, I thought I was doing well to cycle 2 miles a week on my push bike. I used to drive the 2.5 miles to work each day - I only managed to cycle there a couple of times each summer (uphill and too much like...

    Indicators. Winkku.

I've had no problems at all with my Winkku since I bought it 3 months or so ago. I agree that the indicator is much less effective in bright sunlight, but my arm does the trick at those times. Night time is when I really want the indicator, and it's so good at that. There are 2 contrasting...

    Indicators. Winkku.

I have a Winkku (right only) and wouldn't be without it now. I just had to take out the insert at end of handlebar, and the winkku bracket sits inside the bar. It comes with an additional fixing method using velcro that goes around the handlebar, which wouldn't work too well with a twist...
