A couple of new experiences with the Panasonic unit

Hello everybody On the Italian forum we had recently a couple of experiences with the Panasonic unit that I think deserve your skilled attention (hi flecc ;) ). The first is a full suspension Specialized transformed to accommodate the Panasonic central motor and equipped with two...

    E Bikes in France?

Throttle only is not legal. Throttle that works after the PAS has given its ok, it is legal. In other words, you cannot use an electric bike whose motor goes on without pedaling (nor more powerful than 250W continous or with an assisted speed of more than 25km/h). That said, in France like in...

    Agattu or EasyGlider?

Hello everybody, it is a long time that I do not write on the forum, but I like to read it as often as I can in order to follow your experiences and especially Flecc's wisdom :) . I need your advice now. A friend of mine, in Italy, is looking for a pedelec: her routes include challenging climbs...

    Batavus with non-Pavasonic crank motor

Yamaha maybe? But are you sure it was a Batavus?

    giant lafree battery

Hello flecc, jac, as far as I understand the dimensions of the pack are 175 x 75 x 55 mm (1.2 kgrs), it comes with its BMS and charger, but it has a standard discharge rate of 8A and a max discharge rate (30 sec.) of 16A: isn't it too low for the panasonic unit?

    24V Alien installation

Hello, is there any feedback about this installation? Some times ago I've posted BGElect's conversion on the Italian forum and now there is a couple of our members who would like to imitate him. :D By the way, how long does it take to widen the forks?

    BikeTech Flyer series information

Hello Flecc, did I ever told you that I have a Flyer T8 in my home? When I decided to buy a pedelec for my wife the Giant Lafree was already out of stock and there were yet no Kalkhoff and similar in sight. So I bought the T8 one year ago and I use it sometimes instead of my Lafree. I’ve paid it...

Many thanks BGElect :) Hello Flecc, thanks for the good piece of advice.

    24V Alien installation

That's a very fine conversion! Please do allow me some questions. Where is the controller, under the battery? Does the battery bother the folding? Would you describe the fork widening as an easy job? (And a more general question: pictures etc. on this forum are copyleft? I'd like to post this...

    Panasonic System Power Delivery Explanation

:D Actually I'm administrator of the Italian pedelecs forum, that is, with the French one, one of the three dedicated forums in Europe. And even though our forum is not bad at all, I must acknowledge that Flecc makes a difference! ;)

    eZee conversion kit

I see on the new website that eZee is going to import in Europe its conversion kit. There are a few strange things re the weight – a 3.2 kg controller (?) and a 3.3 kg battery while the same one on the Torq is said to be 5.6 (?) - but the kit seems very interesting. Do you know which motor is...

    small geared motor

Can anybody help me to identify this motor? Is the one fitted on this fine (Chinese-)Belgian pedelec, called Emove or Wattworld: http://www.jobike.it/Public/data/swamy/2008331224230_E-Move%20City%2001.JPG On the right side of the motor it is written: F.D.C. MECHANISM. CO. LTD RATED...

    Panasonic System Power Delivery Explanation

That's a wonderful explanation Flecc! Many thanks. (And this kind of articles are the reason why I think this British forum to be the best e-bike forum on the international scene).

    Nano-brompton question

But does anybody know about real failures of the Nano-Brompton? The one we have in Italy seems quite effective and reliable, even in a stressing use (like the one reported on our Italian forum and in this video).

    Nano-brompton question

If I'm not wrong, the pedelec system is an option (with a small surcharge) and you have to switch between throttle and pedelec. It is what Simon Mills told me a few months ago. A friend of mine in Italy bought a Nano-kit for his Brompton with the pedelec option and the thumb regulator but at the...

    Panasonic "special"

Sorry for posting it again, so: I did a research before posting but in the wrong way as it seems. Which are exactly the restrictions of Japanese law? I've often seen Japanese bikes assert incredible ranges with tiny batteries.

    Panasonic "special"

Did you see this one? Panasonic Titanium Flat Road EB Priced between $5,422.95 and $6,717.23, titanium frame, carbon parts, panasonic unit with 5Ah or 10Ah battery (but with a strange "Japanese" range), 3 frame sizes, 56 frame colors, 3 wheel colors, 2 battery and case types, and 2 saddles...

    Agattu review (Flecc)

Hi kraeuterbutter , as far as I know the F series project is completely different from the other Flyer Panasonic series. It is the first Flyer’s motor, a very sophisticated and expensive one: you can see some technical info in German here: esp@cenet description view With this bicycle...
