    Help! Legal e-bike kit

Hi guys, so I’m interested in converting my push bike into an ebike, looking for a EAPC compliant conversion kit so 250w, 15.5mph max speed and no throttle etc. So far I’ve seen in some forums that the Bafang BBS01 mid drive, seems like a decent option, as it’s got 80Nm of torque also. It’s...

Bafang FM G070.250/350/500.D also know as H610

Hi, I have some interest in the hub motor in the links below but can find very little informations and owner's feedbacks are almost non-existent. Seems not a popular hub. Did it flew under the radar ? It is also known as H610 and it seems to use beefy nylon gears of 55mm by 12 mm. However I'm a...

    Bafang 250w Vs 500w

What is the difference between Bafang G.010.250.DC and the LG.020.500.DC Are they different internally? I'm thinking of getting the 250w and running 48v through it.

    Bafang rear hub kit supplier

I would like a bafang rear hub with a 48v battery. Looks like the best way to get one is to buy motor and controller off Amazon, then buy a battery separately from somewhere like greenlance. Looking at it I should get a kit for around £500. Is that how most get a kit?

Help! Bafang 250w Motor Keeps cutting out

Hello. First time post I recently brought a Bafang 250w with a 36v 20Ah rear battery (860c display) However, it keeps cutting out. Sometimes when going over bumps but usually there is no rhyme or reason to it and it just happens. I am starting to think the BMS is faulty (no idea, reading...

    BBSHD + Cube Attention 2015

Hi everyone, I've had a BBS02 on a Cube Attention for over a year. Was fitted by a LBS which worked OK (few niggles) for a year over 1500miles. I was never happy with the way the cables were routed (bent in a tight bunch & stuffed up the hole in top of the forks) and the battery wasn't fixed...

TSDZ2 Fixing Block - difference to Bafang?

Hello all, since I mounted my TSDZ2 on a full suspension MTB, I wonder why the Bafang motors do not require a mounting block and the TSDZ2 needs one? Thanks for any explanation!

Bafang BBS01: using 350w stator with 250w controller

Hello, I have a question that I can't seem to find any answers for and I'm hoping someone here might be able to help. I have a 36v 250w Bafang BBS01 and recently bought a new 36v 250w stator and rotor from GreenBikeKit. Upon inspection the new stator says it's 36v/350w and I can see the...

Review What is your hub 'freewheel' time? Rolling resistance comparison

Good day, I would like to suggest a topic in which we could compare our hubs freewheeling time. Freewheel time means that you raise up your wheel, accelerate it max (using e.g. a thumb throttle) and let it spin till stop, results is given in seconds. This is quite interesting while comparing...

Review Small, light, reliable, low resistance FRONT/REAR hub

Hello, I would like to convert second bike to an e-bike. I am looking for a small, light, with lowest resistance front or rear hub. Once I had and tested front Xiongda 1,5 kg but high resistance and then AKM Q100 2,1 kg which was quite good (low resistance - freewheel 25-30 sec) but it could...

    Motor Limiting Legalities

Hi there folks, long time lurker, initially bought myself a BBS02, great fun, sold it over legal concerns. I originally thought if I bought something like the Eggrider V2 and limited to 250W 15.5mph I would be street legal. A lot of people here seem to agree that that isn't legal. However...

How to reduce lowest assist speed on bafang BBS02B?

I've got a bafang BBS02B 750w mid drive with a 52V 14AH battery. Set at PAS 1 it is too fast for me and really "kicks in" - not a nice smooth assist or low cruising speed. I have the USB programming cable on the way. With this can I reduce PAS 1 and can the assist be smooth rather than just and...
