Seems there has been a huge positive advertising campaign on pedelecs.co.uk for them :D

I have tried running my 36v controller at 49v and it gets hot and bothered... Runs fine on the flat but as soon as the Amps go over 600 the thermal cutout kicks in. It is in a box so I will try with a heat sink before I buy a dual voltage one.

You can run a 48v controller at 14S or even 15S (63v) if you don't ask for too many Amps for too long. 15S charged to 63v hot off the charger will only be at 63v for a couple of km then be at 61v for much longer. 61v and a 20 Amp controller makes about 920 W at the rear wheel... :rolleyes:

You want to keep internal motor temperature below 115°C, after that things start melting and/or magnets are demagnetised, insulation melts... In brief you don't want to go there.
