Having done a BBS02 conversion on a 26" wheel MTB i thought i`d get something with 700c rims and possibly go with a hub drive this time, though i`m sorely tempted by the BBSHD and a Sturmey Archer 5 speed IGH.

I picked up this Whyte on Ebay, seems to tick most boxes - 700c, hydraulic discs, front sus. etc. Not a make i`m familiar with, seems to be a British manufacturer, any feedback on these??

So, where do we start?

Mid-Drive or Hub ?

I would move the BBS02 to the Whyte and fit a hub to the 26" bike.

in that case, I would fit rear 700C BPM, it will have plenty of torque to rival the BBS02

I agree, that frame looks like a shoe in for a rear hub with, perhaps, a battery in an in frame triangle bag.
