Any idea what these are?

I have a cube 120 hybrid stereo pro MTB And these came with it. I have no idea what they are for can’t see anything in the manual and was wondering if their important?

The red piece is to insert between brake pads if you remove wheel or calliper, the black piece I've not seen before but expect its an expander in case you apply the brake lever with wheel/calliper removed and need to pry the pads opens.
