How can I change my settings so I don't get an email every time someone posts in a thread I've responded to?

I've unchecked the box, but still they keep coming...

Fine. All replies are going into my junk folder from now on.

Huge thanks-I've now clocked that-but why oh why does a forum expect you to want to receive email updates? Why on earth should I have to unclick replies?

Utterly daft.

Many forum softwares have this facility and I think it's because responses can be received long after the original posting as an answer to a question comes to light.

It's probably not so useful in this forum and I have the facility shut off, but on another very different forum I have it enabled and it's very useful there where belated answers can often crop up.
