Been using the suggested wuxing and very happy with it thus far. I'll update this post with a longevity report in 6 months time!

I've had Cyclotricity throttles for over 4 years and use them every day with no problems. I use two bikes about 6 months each. They actually look like the ones in the Whoosh photograph in post #4. I also throttle ride just when I need it.
Same throttle. Pulls well.

And my bike died on way home. Sods law

Got power to led and throttle gives a moment of weak power to motor at start then cuts out

I'll diagnose issue tonight (starting with putting an old but working collar throttle on)

I think this is worth an update after 9 months (ok, I promised 6)

Update is - throttle is perfect, not a hint of issues I had all the time with collar versions

Plenty of cold and warm rainy commutes. All good

I won't buy anything else unless I'm seriously persuaded!

108X I got two lefties off AliX £5.83 each.
They are a more natural feel just like a gear selector.
