Was bought for wife but I've managed to put lion share of mileage on it. We've done 2000km over 8 months, with no serious problems from drive system.
Had few minor issues with bike which LBS has dealt with under warranty.

1) Rack mounting bolts working loose. I fixed with locktite.
2) Rough brakes, cause by crappy Tektro factory pads, LBS replaced with shimano pads which have been excellent.
3) Squeaking noise in High power when climbing. Flex on rear wheel from extra power caused it to rub against mudguards. Straighted mudguards, still happens occasionally as there is not much clearance with plastic guards.
4) Battery dropping instantly from 25% to 8%, replacement battery better, does it at 15%. Drawing the last ounce out of a battery is not good for it so 15% is acceptable cut off point.
5) Display doesn't always turn on, unclicking and reseating display fixes problem. LBS suggested causes/fixes haven't resolved it, couple the shop bikes also did it. Once turned ON there are no issues.

Modifications:
1) replaced 44t chainring with 38t to lower gearing. With 44t top 2-3gears are not used unless going >30km/hr, better to trade one for lower climbing gear. With factory gearing it will climb 95% of hills without a problem, last 5% rider will be working hard.
The lower gearing helps with those last 5% plus allows climbing moderate hills in eco or normal giving more range.

2) replaced factory suspension seatpost with suntour NCX. Well worth it if riding on unsealed rough roads.

Very comfortable bike to ride over long distances, seat and upright riding positions are excellent. Steps drive system is excellent, smooth and quiet in eco and normal settings, little lumpy in high compared to Bosch.

Component specs are OK for commuting. The comparable Bosch powered bikes had slightly better components but they were also 30-50% more expensive. The price difference pays for lot of upgrades if needed.

We've taken on some moderate MTB tracks without a problem. Lower gearing definitely paid off, plus fitted Smart Sam 28x40 tire to front, excellent on loose or muddy surfaces.

Overall very happy with purchase, comfortable commuter and trekking bike. With modifications above capable of taking on likes of Timberland trail in dry.
