all they need is the case that you have now and will put new cells in it.

its best to email them or just ring them as there the best to tell you which one will fit the bike.

some have more AH so will have more range and different cells

id say the 24v 14.5ah sony us18650 bottom discharge is the one you want.

i would double check it with them first mind.

If you know how to do basic wiring and soldering, you could use the opportunity to update the electrics to a modern system that will give more power, more range and a much better control system. The cost for a 36v battery, 36v controller and LCD would be about £250 to £300. I just converted a couple of 24v bikes to 36v and the owners were very pleased. They had his and hers matching bikes. I did hers first and they were so impressed that they then asked me to do his.

If you want your battery re-celled, the cost depends on which cells you want. You can get much more range, longer life or a simple replacement of what you have. Jimmy at BGA should be able to tell you all the options and costs.

You can buy a ready-to-go battery from Aliexpress very cheaply:

You can get ones with double the capacity, which are longer than yours. That's no problem if you don't have the seat in the lowest position:

Both these batteries come with the retaining strip that the lock goes into. You might have to drill a hole in the right place to fix it to your frame. If you look at your present one, you can see how it's fixed with a screw at the top and bottom.

One final thing: the 36v versions of those batteries should work with your existing controller. Many people, including me did that upgrade without any problems. It gives you more power, speed and range. The motor doesn't care what voltage you give it. It has plenty of headroom. You have 24v and 12 or 14 amps. I had 44v and 20 amps, which made it go easily over 30 mph.

If you buy a replacement battery, you chould always check that the "+" and "-" terminals are the correct way round. They're normally right, but I have heard of them being reversed. They're easy to change over if wrong. If you connect while wrong, you'll blow the motor controller.
